Blown Stangs come in...

Okay I'm was looking on some supercharger option for my current stang, since I will do another big mod in a year or less. I was looking into the moongose kit from modular powerhouse and I really like it, I only going to spend $4000-$4500 on the kit so this one fits my budget. My question is what power gains can someone with a stock GT can expect. Thanks in advance. :D

Actually you will probally get more input here.Because there are a lot of 2v blower cars on here..And not many go to the other forums..Id move it if you still want but i think you will get more repsonses here.

Now on to your question ..On average 360-400 depending on the other mods on the car ...

I personally think one power adder is enough..NOS shouldnt be needed..

I've got the Mongoose kit & Intercooler, you can see my numbers and mods in my sig.

I was about 357 RWHP before I added the Intercooler and was just the straight Mongoose.

Mine is only putting out 8.5 lbs vs. many of the others put out 10 so I'm a little low.

You will probably end up spending a bit more than 4500. It is always more than you think it will be. I cant speak for anyone else but even with the new chip I would still go and get a dyno tune. But you should make around 360 to 400 to the wheeels with a good setup.

So let me through in a little Q here, what makes more power the vortec or a 9PSI procharger?I am for the procharger, for alot of reasons over say the KB and vortec, but whats the HP difference here? Thanks.

If you have the money a KB is better than both at least on a street car..

Power wise they will both make about the same power ,but mods ,tuner etc play into the power factor also..

Well its not that I cant get the money for the KB, its just that for the extra $$$$ I could do other mods that would net me more power.I know that straight out of the box, the KB will make my car much faster than other S/Cs but I am looking more into potential, and flexability. If I get/build my cobra engine, I will have to buy a NEW KB and on top of that I am not sure how efficient a KB is at high boost lvs.Not trying to jack the thread or anything, but just one more Q or 2.Whats the problem with getting a D1SC over the P1SC?I know people say that you need a built engine for a D1SC but why cant you just use a pully that keeps the boost at around 9PSI, and if they dont offer that there are always the places that make custom pullys. Thanks :D

If you are going to be building up a motor and plan to run a lot of boost then get the D1, the difference in them (I'm not too familiar with prochargers but I am with vortech's) is the a p1sc would work but for the amount of boost you will most likely run the p1sc won't be as efficient as the d1sc would at that level. Oh yah and scrap that idea of no2 and the blower at the same time. It's going to cause you a lot of headaches and I still have no idea why you would want both?
