04' Vert or HardTop

Hardtop definitely......vert's creak and rattle way more!!! My 04 GT has no rattles or creaks at all. I would not even consider a vert unless i lived in Hawaii, Arizona or south Florida where the warm days outnumber the cold days.

Ha Ha I live in South Florida. But what i heard is that its really hard to maintain

Vert is the way to go bro. Not only is it alot better in hot weather, but it makes the semi non-functional rear seat more manageable to get in. This can definately be a plus for cramming women into the car, or if you need to take some people on a fast getaway. The only two drawbacks are they aren't as safe in the case of a roll-over(which is damn hard to do), and they are slower because of the added weight. As far as speed goes, look at Jackie.....his times are quite impressive. Since you live in Florida, go with it and don't look back. One other thing, the look of a vert all dressed up looks way better than a coupe, IMO.

I love my Vert. No creaks or moans and It's S/C'd and driven pretty hard. I would reccoment the subframes.

TN has fairly mild winters, but it does get COLD outside. The vert heats up nice and quick, can't really tell much of a difference than in a hard top.

The Vert only weighs like 300 lbs more than the coupe. So, it's not like it's THAT much slower.

Its only 140 pounds heavier.

It all really comes down to if you will really enjoy have a vert. Make that the entire basis of your decision. For me, I also own a BMW Z3. The Bimmer made me aware that I am not a big fan of convertibles. For me, mine is much noisier inside the car, and I don't put down the top as much as I thought I would. I realized after getting it, "Hmmm, I like hardtops better". This is no slam at all on verts, just my own personal experience...

Vert
Cons: Rattles, Noisier, Little Heavier, Not as good in bad weather, more expensive (price & insurance)
Pros: FUN FUN FUN

Have a 98 GT Vert - I do live in AZ, where the weather is always nice (biggest problem is it too hot to drive w/ top down in the summer) and it is not a daily driver anymore so I only drive when the temp is perfect and i can have the top down, but all the CONS don't outweigh the one PRO. Get the drop top, everyone should own one once in their life.
