BTW: I thought you guys HATED magazine racing and now because of favorable numbers you all love it and accept it? This is the same Motor Trend magazine that claims they "spanked a 2003 SVT Cobra" with an Evo in a heat match and when I posted it, you all called hmmm, what to believe?
I don't think anyone here is saying these times are gospel. This is merely the first test. Not more estimated times. Which means they are likely to be slightly more accurate than what has been shown in the past.
As for other cars. If you like the other car... Buy it. Don't hangout in a mustang forum acting like a used car salesman. Sure the Srt-4 is a decent car. If you want a fast neon with a big wing. Sure the EVO is a nice car. If you want a 4 door sedan with a big wing. And the GTO. Sure it's a nice car with a lot of power. If you want a heavy tank that looks like a rental car. I personally don't want either. But I am not going to try to force my views on another board. I could care less if my car is supposed to be slower than any other car on the road. As long as it is what I want. I get that you are an EVO fan. So go hangout on the EVO boards. Instead of coming here just to bash on the 05 and it's owners.
And as for being an enthusiast. Buying the fastest car does not make you an enthusiast of anything other than speed. I am a mustang enthusiast. I like mustangs and participate in boards like this and go to shows. I am even working on starting a company to make parts for different mustangs. I would say I am more of an enthusiast than you. Since I can narrow my focus down to 1 car that I like. Not preach about the merits of 3 cars. That I don't own.
