Well this is the progress I made on my weekend. I was looking at the difference. I think I am still going to face the manifolds down and forward. I moved the filter again. Since I decided to put the turbo over there, I need the room to put the filter thru the fender apron right where it was. All I had to do to get it there was remove the headlight, and cuss a little to get one nut on. I ordered the mandrel 90's today, and a bigger pulley for the water pump drive for more flow. The alt is going right there. I will use the left over spacer from the drive kit to move the alt out when I buy a longer bolt. Then from there, I have to make a braket that comes more or less straight down from the two bolts, that are all the way to the left on the water pump. Then I will attach and turnbuckle setup to tightend the belt. I may have to buy a custom belt, or go back to the v-belt setp. Who knows right now. The 2nd pic and the last one, you can barely see the fuel line. I have mounted backwards compared to how it was. Now I will have the fuel line come in via a bulkhead connector an inch or two under the hood hinge and run across the back of the fire wall to the carb and reg. Also have the 10 an aluminum line coming for the return line. That's it for now until next weeknd( wed/thurs)

I have about 1200 in it right now. It can be done much cheaper. There are guys that have spent just over, or even under 1k when using turbos from junkyards, or turbos from diesel's. I have just always done things cheaply, and while it fun and all, the cheap parts wear out, and it gets frustrating as hell. Alot of the money came from the brand new turbo for 700 bucks and the wastegate which was another 200. the drive pump I have had for about a year, just never put it on. And mandrel bent tubing is kinda pricey. I just now need to buy 2 boost guages(one for the fuel pressure since nobody makes a guage that goes 0-35) and thinking really hard about getting a AFR guage. Hopefully I only have another 500 bucks to spend or so. And hopefully I can get away with the wastegate I bought. Don't want to spend another 150 more on another.

I bought a few more things today. I did buy the boost guages. One is vacuum and boost, and the other is just boost. This way I don't get the two confused. The boost guage will remain outside as a fule psi guage. I also got a K&N. It was surprisingly only 45 bucks. I want to build a box for it though, for a secondary filter since it will be getting hit with road grime and dirt on a daily basis. I get off tomorrow from work at 8am, and plan to start really kicking ass on this thing.

Alright. So I added another male to male and female to female to the fuel line to scoot the reg back a little to get the return line away from the tranny dipstick mount, and the fuel line psi reading line away from vavle cover t-bolt.
And the fuel line will be done pretty soon. I gave up on the idea of the stock manifolds. I don't doubt they would work. But with all the welding, I don't know if the welds will hold. And I don't want to have to reweld, re-machine everything to get the car going again.

I stop by dustin'S (10secgoals's) home today and got some more progress pic... here is one that i got of dustin while he was busy thinking :rlaugh:
