rattle under car

I actually just noticed it on my car today. Mine is dropped with an Eibach Pro Kit and has a Borla cat-back on it. I went over a speed bump, very slowly, but I let the car roll forward off of it a bit too quickly (let off the brake, no throttle) and it BANGED so hard it hurt. About an hour later I hear the rattling. What can be done to fix this? Is it going to be a big problem, other than being really annoying?

Is there any fix for this? I know BMR makes a panhard relocation kit, any idea if that might solve things? I won't settle for living with the rattle, it's annoying and my car's only been doing it for a day.

i dont think mine is the exhaust, i fixed all those problems already. its more of a rattling noise coming from someting that is lose. it sounds like it is coming from the front of the car, NOT the rear like the exhaust noises.

Check for lose and/or missing bolts on the dust cover for the front of the Transmission. If you have a manual that is. From the factory they leave out 2 bolts(1 on each side) and I know for a fact the dust cover rattles on cold weather start ups without these bolts in there...just an idea give it a look.

I had my dealer put in the missing bolts and have had no rattleing since.

I had this problem after I installed my SLP loudmouths. It sounded like metal vibrating when i pushed the gas sometimes and sometimes when it was idling in gear. I tried many different things but finally figured it out. The tips were stuck out just far enough that the hanger on the drivers side tip was barely touching some metal on the inside of the rear bumper. I pushed the tips in about a 1/4 inch and the problem was solved. I don't know if this is what you guys are experiencing, but maybe it will help.

That's my problem. I am almost certain that my exhaust shifted when I slammed on that speed bump. You described my problem perfectly. My car's in the paint shop right now, but I'll be sure to try that remedy.

I have the SLPs but i did not have this problem till they put in a new full tank. Now i get it and my exhaust is tight,it is like a lite tin sound vibration and not all the time.

I've had this problem before and it's a bear to track down these things. The only real way to find it is to put the car up on ramps, start the engine, and have someone duplicate the condition that causes the noise. (ie, rev to1400RPM, bounce the suspension up and down, ect.) If it's a rattle like sound it's something that's metal on metal. I had the same kind of thing after the dealer installed my new tank. It turned out to be one of the bolts on an exhaust hanger bracket. Before I bought any parts to fix what it might be, I'd get under there and check everything. Two minutes with a wrench might fix you up.

One issue found early on last year was a rattling sound coming from underneath the car. It seems that the debris sheild / inspection cover on the transmission housing is or was missing two bottom bolts. Once replaced with the proper bolts, the rattling stops. Do a quick visual on the housing and see if the bottom two bolts are in place before moving onto other areas.
