Trickflow cam for supercharged car? Last chance!

Ive been having the hardest time trying to find a cam thats right for me. My combo is gonna be ported trickflow TW heads, a cobra intake and a vortech s-trim. Do you guys think a Trickflow Stage 1 cam is a good blower cam for me? Im gonna order my last set of parts I need tonight and if you all dont think its a good blower cam im gonna be keeping the stocker.

ANY cam has got to be better than the stock one, even with a blower. I'm not familiar with S/C setups, and what they need and don't need, but the Stage 1 cam is a great cam all around. My friend has the TW heads, Stage 1 cam, and I think the Street Heat intake with a Vortech, pushing 448rwhp. I'd say it's a good cam.

Ok well from now on the only people allowed to reply to this thread are the people saying that yes it is an excellent cam and yes you will gain mucho HP from it. I jusr ordered if from Summit and overnighted it.

Did I mention this cam is a piece of crap? :D Just kidding, you'll love it.

Hey man I just started my car up on Saturday. COMBO: tw heads(track heat),stage 1 cam,306 low comp. pistons (forged), balanced stock crank and rods, gridle Cobra intake, S-trim. on my 94 Cobra I love the way the car sounds and idles unfortunately I cant tell you how well it runs becouse I am going to tune it before I get on it. But the idle is very good on my cobra.

No vacum problems. I left all the vacums connected on my car. The reason I choose this cam is they recomended it to me becouse it is similar to the e303 which is a good supercharger cam and It is matched to the heads. It is also the cam that comes with the Trick flow head and cam package. Be sure to get longer pushrods if your heads are new. I had to buy longer pushrods and go to stud mount rockers, then I had to go to fox body vc to clear the rockers. Check out my thread on painted valve covers and intake.

I would have gone with the TFS Stage 2 cam, its a great blower cam. But not sure if you have aftermarket pistons or stock pistons.

But then again oh well you already ordered the cam. Its a decent blower cam, and should work for you.

You could have tried calling the Trick Flow tech line. Most of the guys that answer on there are really good. I think it was Chuck who was especially knowedgeable. But I do remember talking to one guy on their tech line who barely knew anything about their products, so you have to test em a little bit.

Oh, and the other place you could have called is Anderson Ford Motorsports. Talk to Rick. They would surely have a cam for you.

Sorry for the Monday morning quarterbacking. But hey, if I were you, I would still do some more looking just to confirm that you got the right cam for your build up. It's far easier to return the one you're getting, and rush order another (if you find there really is a better option).

Good luck.
