Mid Pipe

Question for you guys that have replaced the mid pipe with an aftermarket (catless?) system.
Do run the car w/o any cats at all? If so, how do you pass emmisions?

I would be interested in doing the same but emmisions??

I run the Bassani with cats because near me are very tough Inspection laws. Do they do inspection in your area? I thought some parts of texas don't do it. To me it wasn't worth the couple HP for not having cats. Its a Federal Fine to not have them and you can get a 10,000 dollar fine. I don't honestly know anyone who ever got it but why chance it. It all comes down to where you live.

with an O/R pipe you won't pass emissions not on the visual and sniffer and teh decibals will be loud..... what i do is just swap my aftermarket one for the test and once it passes i let it cool down and swap them again

I see, yea, I live in the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex and have to pass the inspection.
I might have a muffler shop remove the 6 cats (6!!?) and replace with dual high flow cats.

Cheapest way that works well that I know of is UPR O/R with pair of high flow cats welded in.

I don't have emissions testing in the county I have my vehicles registered in. But if I ever have to do emissions testing, I have the stock midpipe still which I'll throw back on for the test, then swap the o/r pipe back in.

I'm running my bullitt w/ no cats. You can always find a place that will inspect and pass it for ya.
