I recently bought my 2000 v-6 mustang and would like to fix the look of it. Got a great deal on the car especially with the mileage and bought the warranty so I can't go playing with the engine to much. I love the GT fog lights and the cobra's but I hate those anoyingly small blue looking lights people use. I'm not afraid of cutting the slots out and putting the GT lights in ormaybe chaing out the facia and going with the cobra lights but I am unsure of how difficult this would be. Does anyone know if the V-6 stang has all the wiring there already or if this will be a difficult process. Any advice and knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:nice:

Your car most likely doesn't have wiring. If memory serves me right, they did wiring up to 96 or 98. With my 94 I had the wiring, which worked, but then the connectors eventually crapped out cause of all the moisture that got to them before i made use of them. So if your car does have wiring, check the connectors to make sure they arent corroded.

I just put the fog lights on my car too. i have an 03 V6. the V6 do not come with the wiring. I bought all the lights and wiring on ebay. It came with all the wires, fuse, relay and a switch, i put the switch next to the rear defogger. I didnt install it myself because i didnt wanna mess up on the wiring, i took it to a shop and they did it for me, cost only $80. it looks really great, and u do have to cut out the slots. ill put my pictures up.

I have a 99 and put the GT fogs on a few years ago. It's actually not that hard, and if you know basic electronics or know someone that does you can just do it yourself. Hardest part is mounting them in the slots in the bumper.

I recommend just going to a Ford dealership and order the kit from them. It has all the parts needed and instructions on how to do it. It costs just under $200. You can find it on ebay and other places as well, but just go to the dealership and ask them for a discount off the first price they give you, they will usually do it, and you know you are getting everything you need.

It looks totally factory when you are done. The switch just goes into one of your coin holders. Very easy.

If you really wanna improve the look of your car get HIDs for the headlights and fog lights. The blue lights you're talkin about are the fake ones people buy to save a few bucks but if you get the real ones they turn look good

can anyone recommend a cheap place to get these?

If you know anything about wiring you could probably do the job yourself.. if not i think most local auto stores that deal with electronics will do it for you. I have no idea of pricing tho.. sry
