Trip Meter resets itself?

A few months ago, there was a thread about this. It seems to happen when you reset the trip meter then drive for about 5 miles or less and turn the car off. When you turn the car on the trip meter is back to zero. Many have had this problem, but no fix to my knowledge.

yep, i was in that thread. :) happened to me a few times, dont pay much attention to it anymore.

I haven't had anything like that happen with my '05, but whenever wierd stuff showed up in my '96 I would disconnect the negative battery lead for about a minute. That usually cured most electronic ills. Something like hitting Control-Alt-Delete.
