I installed a Raptor Shiftlight and it threw a code right afterwards... P1233. It says the fuel pump is off or disabled. Well obviously it isn't because the car is perfectly fine to drive, I'm just thinking that the wiring isn't right somewhere.

Here's how I installed mine..

I was thinking about trying to ground the ground wire somewhere else and see if that helped. Any other suggestions?

I've been looking through the wiring for the PCM, which are fairly difficult to read. I'm wondering if you accidentally hit one of the other line on the PCM. That'd be the first thing I'd check. There's a few ignition module wires that are right around 26.

the first thing I would do is disconnect all wiring you did, do not remove the wire from the dash, just put everything back like it was before you started. see if you still have the code. fix the problem before you add the light back. I haven't used a Raptor shift light. Does it have a tach driver or something built in?

Those are the directions I followed and I had no problems.

Its a green wire with a white stripe not a white with a green

I'll check to make sure I got that part right tomorrow. How did you make your connections?

I would go back and check the pin number and color of each connection and verify you have the correct ones. then either cun, strip and solder( best way) the wires or use a butt connector with the wires twisted together. The in line splice connectors work for some applications. The problem with them that I have is that sometimes they cut the wires to much. On the other side , it could be that a connector is not mashed enough.

I have read all the numerous problems with the bad idles, not running, etc. So here is my problem, which is much the same, but here goes. I really need help. Bought an 02 Stang, 4.6L, mainly stock except for a BBK Cold Air Induction and according to the previous owner a SuperChips Performance profile installed. I have driven the Stang about 4500 miles, using ONLY 87 octane fuel as directed by the owners manual (I have never used 87 oct in any vehicle including my Harley). Took a road trip to Vegas from Carson City this past weekend. The difference is around 2000 feet in sea level. It is lower in Vegas. Prior to leaving I added some octane boaster upon fillup. When I got to Vegas the Stang started running rough. In Vegas I replaced the fuel filter and nothing changed. At high speeds the vehicle runs okay with some kicking, but at low speeds and particular in 2nd it runs real rouch, bucks and kicks. I used the SuperChips programmer for DTC and got the same P1233 code. So back in Carson City the car still runs rough. So what is the problem. Gas mileage was excellent from Vegas and CC. I really need help. My next step is to return the computer back to Stock using the SuperChips programmer. Other than that I am at a complete lost except to take it to Ford and ask for help.

haha holy ****..

oh btw i figured out the problem after selling that shiftlight and buying a new one. I was using blue clips to connect the wires, gotta use the read 22ga ones instead. It wasn't listed on their site to do that.. but it is now :) After that I never got the code again and the code went away after I unhooked those clips. I hooked the new light up just the same. Anyways everything works great now :)

These pop up from no where.
I would say if you have a programmer, deff. put the tune back to stock first. Timing can cause the problem you describe. As you have done a search, you should know it could be many things. Make sure that the air filter is clean and connections behoind the MAF are sealed well.
