Ok here is the issue. After filling up the tank. Gage every once in a while wont move to full stays were it was before I filled up . Next time I get in gage reads normal. Oh yea keys were in my pocket not in the ignition . Any ideas because I know if I take it to the dealership they will say we don't see a problem:bang: And while I dont post often i'm on here most every day and dont recall reading about this issue and searching didnt help. Thanks in advance for any and all replys

try a techron additive first. see if that helps. if not, try the dealer.
Had that issue . With that you get a check engine light an gage reads empty.
with this you just dont get the right read on the gage until the next time you start the car . And that is after it has sat for a while . If you shut it off then start it up again right away it will move a little but still not right . As for the dealership i am afraid they will say everthig is workong right :bang: because it is woking at that time.

While at ford as a tech I had the same problem with a customers car (V6). Replaced both sending units.(there are 2 one for each of the saddle tanks) Didnt fix the problem. Replaced the instrument cluster....FIXED. :nice:

So then I had the same problem with my personal '06 gt. Replaced both sensors, failed to fix it. Next up will be the cluster. LOL :nonono:

thanks for the reply the problem as i see it is proving to ford that there is an issue to begin with because its only done it twice and if they cant see it it must not be broken :bang: :bang:
