I've got some dirty pony 4 lugs and was wondering what is the best way to clean them? They've covered in brake dust and grime. Do those rim cleaners that are sold in the spray bottles such as Meguiar's work well?

yes, i have used some of those wheel cleaners and they do work well, if the rim is realy glossy like crome or aluminum with a clear coat on them i wouldnt leave it on for to long, i have accidently dulled some finishes on rims using some potent stuff. but good old elbow grease works fine also. hope that helps :D

if they are bad there is wheel acid that'll definately clean them. I would only use this method only ONE or TWO TIMES because if you do it a bunch itll screw em' up. Once will not hurt them unless the factory paint is shot.

I used it on my cars before....works wonders on the inside of a wheel where they never get cleaned. This was also at a dealer, so i dunno where you could get it otherwise
