Im thinking getting ford racing spark plug for my mustang 1998 gt 4.6 ( with PI intake swap soon ), I want to do it at the same time, I have 3 question really need advice please

After PI intake swap, what spark plug do I need to use ? I really like motor craft platium, can any one give me correct part # for that plug after PI swap.

Is ford racing spark plug wire any good ? and where to get them cheap ? thanks

I just got some OEM replacement wires from Randy after reading about longevity issues...

However, I have had Ford Racing wires on my 5.0L for well over 2 years now...nearly 3 actually. No problems...

Friend has them on his 98 Gt, with no issues yet, after a year...and it doesn't look like it either...

I have seen and have heard of problems with FRPP wires. I have heard of issues with just about every aftermarket wire as well. I run Motorcraft OEM wires on my 96 TBird. Never had an issue with spark plug wires...

KillaGT - Nice car:nice: I have the same wheels, and you should have the 3.27's - they came with those wheels...

You can get those spark plugs from Randy as well if you want when you order the other stuff...

or 3.08's if you have an auto:nice: The plugs arn't too common, if you dont order them online - then the Ford stealer is about it

OT: Interesting...so 3.08's with those 17 inch wheels for the 4r70w, and 3.27's for the 5spd with those wheels...? I had always figured they had 3.27's with the 17's no matter what...thanks!

what the hell is 3.08s  . is those good or bad ?

3.08 is short hand for 3:08 the axle ring and pinion ratio. i.e. the engine turns 3.08 times for the axle to turn once in first gear, this translates into more torque and ease for the engine to accelerate like upshifting on you mountain bike to make it easier to go up a hill. 3.08's came in the auto and 3.27's came in the 5-speed. Generally the lower the gear (high numbers) the "better". So 4.10's are tire shredding potential
