Are aftermarket gauges really worth it?

I've been contemplating getting some aftermarket gauges for my stang which is normally aspirated and intends to stay that way. I've been looking at adding new oil pressure and coolant temp. gauges to replace the crappy stock gauges. In the long run is it really worth it and are these the best two gauges to get if you're n/a? Thanks.

I say yes basically I have 4 aftermarket gauges in my car 2 are needed when I do a blowr/turbo (which ever I decide) and the other two are just because I needed to fill holes in the a pillar and they came along for the right price

Hell ya they are worth it. The stock gauges suck @ss! The stock oil pressure oil moves if pressure dips below 6psi. At that point your engine would be GONE. Water temp gauge is also worthless; no numbers on it?! I say you get them.

I agree with V_Eight, get the electric gauges. Not to mention they are much easier to install and you don't run the risk of a mess like with a mechanical gauge. When the sending tube fails you could have oil or antifreeze all over the inside of your A-pillar.

i have stewart warner electric- water temp and oil pressure guages.. and hel yea they are worth it..one of the first mods i did when i got the car..stock guages don;t do ***** for you..and when they do show something bad is happening ur motor's already toast.. heres how i have them set up sorry it's a crappy pic
