18" Cobras with 335 Tires Installed!..Not Digging Them

Those are calipers which are one disc brakes, drums are on drum brakes. And that caliper isn't going to move, the white torque arm only compresses, what you highlighted is the hub, i'm thinking those wont interfere - no worries.

Actually I found out the part i was trying to point at are the rotors...Now to see if i find a rotor with a flatter head then stock so the wheel will push in more.

The rotor mounts up flush against the hub. The only thing a shallower rotor will do is move the disk part towards the outside of the car - ie, towards your wheel.

What you need is a wheel with less (or is it more?) of an offset. Basically a wheel that pushes deeper into the wheel well when u mount it.

I have 18x10.5" Cobra's with 315 Nitto's. I'll try to find recent pics of it tomorrow. Not sure I'm having the same problem you are describing, although I don't think there's anything wrong with the way your car looks.

Where did you get your wheels?

So basically there is nothing I can do to the brakes/rotors/hub/calipers etc.. to make the wheel push in more correct? Unless I get different wheels?

I just thought since you can add spacers to push the wheels out, then there must be a way to push the wheels more in.

Where did you find 18X10.5's? I thought they were all 18X10. Anyways, it isn't the backspacing that is pushing the wheels out it is the offset. You need to find out what the backspacing on those wheels is. I bet they are around 22-24mm. If that is what they are, that is why they are sticking out. For an 18X10 or 18X10.5 wheel, you need them to be more than 22-24mm. The larger the offset, the more the wheels will sit in.

AFS makes them i believe the the numbers are: +27mm offset with 6.9 backspacing. Those numbers are from there website and I'm not 100% sure they are AFS since I'm going by what the local seller told me, how do I measure them to make sure?.

hmm....So how far do they stick out? +27mm isn't too big, but better than a +22mm or +24mm.

u think its the wheels or tires?

The wheels are sticking out 1.5 inches so I think the wheels are sticking out to much, that was my original question since from pictures i've seen of peoples cars with 18x10.5 the wheels don't stick out that much. But now i'm starting to think they do stick out on others cars and its just the photo shots they take don't make them look like they are sticking out.

Another thing is the rims are suppose to be 10.5 inches (its stamped on them)..I measured the wheel width from the outermost part on both sides and I got 11.5 inches, backspacing I measured at 6.75 inches. Using those measurements I got an offset of 25mm.

i think your car is monsterously high to have a prokit, i have a prokit with the thick isolator taken out and its WAY lower than tat and my 315/35R17 Nitto NT555R's

this is back when i had the Sumitomo's they are actually a tad wider, about a half inch, than the nittos

again, this is 17's not the 18's and mine are bullitts lol but i do have an Eibach Pro-kit with Strange 10-ways and i have the prothane isolators with the thicker one removed in front and rear...

So I bought some 18 inch Cobra wheels (fronts are 18x9 and rear are 18x10.5). On the front I have 265/35/18 and they look good so no problem there.

On the back I have some 335/30/18 tires. They fit fine with no rubbing however I thought they would flush with the fender and they don't like I had seen in some pics). Its not the tires since it looks the the wheel sticks outs no matter what. I thought that 10.5 wheels would flush :( . Is my only choice to do downgrade to a size 9 inch wheel?

Also i figure 18 inch wheels would cover my gap more but they don't (see pic) ..Currently running eiback pro sport.

Here are some Picks.

where did you get your 18x10.5's at?????

I need a pair in chrome.
