Squeaky clutch noise when pressed in

Sounds like it is most likely the throw out bearing is going out. My old 97GT that had 84K on the clock did it horibbly in cold weather but not as bad in warm weather. Since it has a 100K on the clock then I bet it is the throw out bearing. has the clutch ever been replaced? If not then I would say replace the clutch and the throw out bearing so it can be done all at once.

Sounds like you hit the nail right on the head..... it started doing this when the weather turned cold. I started up my car two days ago on a cold morning and voila, the squeak manifests itself.

Car has 100k miles, never replaced clutch or T/O bearing. Anyone know of a good write up for a clutch swap? I've never done any driveline/tranny work.... I'd love to learn though!

I should add, the squeak is continuous and goes up or down in "speed" with the engine's rotation when I give it a bit of throttle.

If I remember correctly I think mine varied in sound with the amount of RPMs too. Check out americanmuscle.com. They sell a Ford Racing king cobra clutch kit that includes a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing.

Typically if you press the clutch pedal down and you have a squeeky sounds it is the pilot bearing. Try puting it into gear, does the sound go away when you clutch in and then stick it into 1st or reverse ?

When geting your clutch done, always have a new pilot bearing, throw out bearing and rear main seal put in. There is a nicer rear main seal out now that has a teflon inner seal ring which is supposed to never leak, its like 5 bux more. Felpro part number: BS40644. I would get that put in over a stock replacement type just for cheap insurance.

I was having a similair issue but much worse. Just got my car back today with a Centerforce DF clutch, Fidanza aluminum flywheel, new clutch fork and pivot ball. It feels so good and I would suggest the Centerforce clutch for you.
