I gained more power with a 88mm maf tube vs a 95mm maf tube but I don't have heads and cams. I'm thinking the bigger maf tube has helped Chad because of those mods. Not a lot of people have heads and cams though. Don't get me wrong, it's good information.

I have trouble believing those numbers are purely from the intake. There has to be something in the tunes that gave the C&L an edge. Not saying the 95mm piece wouldn't make more power, but 12 hp and 14 tq is a hell of an increase.

well with mods he has, cams , heads ... the engine WILL benifit from the larger MAF thus adding more trq, and Hp. The engine is already breathing hard as it is.

Granted, but those are fairly massive gains, I mean a 3-4% increase is very substantial. Perhaps it's just the steeda CAI is less efficient in general or the MAF was getting pegged. I would have liked to have seen this between the C&L race and the JLT II intakes, since those are normally seen as the best two.

Im with you on that one.. the JLTII and the Racer are right next to each other for gain wise.. that would be a great comparison, since the racer is alot more cash than the JLT..... Good point DAnoo
