I'm trying to pin point if my compressor is making the noise. When I turn the AC on. I hear a very loud ratle after the car is warm. But I hear a very light one in the morning. I also hear a wooooooooooooooom sound from time to time. Whenever the AC is on the engine revs around 100 and the load is very significant. I had never noticed this whenever I turn my AC on. Is my compressor bad? I was doing some searching and people recommend to change the bearing, clutch, and coil. I am planning on doing that but I really need to know if this is the problem. The AC blows very cold air. Theres a very nice guide on changing the compressor clutch, coil on here. Thanks a lot for your help!

The rattling noise is the clutch assembly coming apart. with the car off, see if you can move the clutch pulley by pulling on the front. It will probably wiggle around a bit. If you searched you probably found my write up on how to change it.

Get a long screwdriver, broom handle, piece of rebar, pretty much anything solid. Put one end on any component with a pulley and press your ear to the other end. With the car idling this will ket you hear the bearings inside that component. It should be very apparent which one is making the noise with this method.

I've repaired vehicles where the idler would make all kinds of noise when the A/C kicked on. Then have a hummm type sound when it was off. So check each component before throwing parts at it.
