I get more responses from people in other cars than Mustangs.

I have had a few waves back when I had the A4, from other A4 owners.

Notice truck guys always recognize other truck guys as well.

I only wave to people I know, or wave back at someone, if the time is right. Don't think I have ever instigated it.

I forgot to also add to my list that I wave to hot chicks....especially those in VW's and altimas....even if their husband/boyfriend is with them.

Chicks in benzs...yeah i gave up waving to them a long time ago. They only respond if you have a roll of $100's in your hand when you wave :)

BMW and Lexus chicks are a case-by-case basis.

(I'm joking btw! :) )

Absolutely....every single one of them, even the old and busted and rusted 4 bangers.

In fact just a few days ago i was out in my buddy's car, which is a really nice well modded '89 GT and i came to a stop sign right as an older guy came past in an equally nice GT vert. He stopped and we exchanged compliments. It was really cool because there was this obvious generation gap between us but we shared a common love for something. That's what this hobby is all about :nice:

I live in So Cal Los Angeles area where everyone thinks theyre hard.. so if anything i get alot of people revving up on me and talking smack. I drive an 85 SVO Turbo and an 89 Fox. Usually if i get acknowledged its by someone whos a little older and doesnt drive a fox.

I've only been acknowledged by a Mustang owner like four times in the past five years, 97% of the time they're on the damn phone and they dont even see me... so I gave up.

I get tons more looks and waves from non-Mustang drivers, even by pedestrians, bicycle riders, and lifted-up heavy duty pick-up-truck drivers... but other Mustangs.. forget it.

ha when i drive my grandmas PT loser i always give a thumbs up to other people driving them lmao and they think im like serious ha... but ya in our mach 1 we wave and give thumbs up to other mustangs.

muscle car guys are the friendly crowd here on Long Island, the guys with mustangs are pretty much all *******s who think they're UFC cage fighters, but would faint at the sight of blood

case in point: i was in my coupe getting gas on a beautiful sunday morning a week or two ago, when a really nice, loud, black 1992 hatchback rolled in and pulled up to the pump next to me... i said "nice car dude" and he looked over at me and my car and said "yeah, your ****'s a little wavy, but whatever, it's alright" and then walked into the gas station... WAVY?! really? my car has 50k miles on it and has never been in an accident... i walked around my car for 5 minutes after he left, pissed off and looking for "waves" of course i didn't find any... but that's Long Island for ya... cut throat, jealous, shallow people...

Where in Long Island?? I live in Uniondale and kinda sorta agree... Seems like a lot of the 5.0's I see around now are onto their 5th or 6th high school/college kid owner who blasts from light to light beating the balls off the car. Unfortunately, I rarely see a nice fox around anymore but I'll usually make some sort of gesture towards the driver if the car is obviously well cared for. As far as the dummy beating the crap outta his fox that looks like its on its last legs or the drivers that are just driving their fox cause its a car and its all they have, I won't typically make any gestures towards them.

The muscle car crowd on LI is pretty good.......
I work in Brooklyn and I always get people waving and giving thumbs up when I drive through there.

I live in Lake Grove, and yeah, a lot of the 5.0s are beat to death around here. I'd like to beat some of their trashy owners to death too, ironically. :D

Yup 3 waves then i blast off:banana: no i do most of the time:shrug: not usually to beaten up 3 different colored 4 cylinder notches with 4 different rims and a fat greasy hair old dude drivin it wit the car leanin driver's side hard nope not again ........i did once he looked at me like WTF!!!!!!!!:D

I moved to Indiana to get away from Chicago, where it sounds like its a lot like Long Island. I only wave at someone who cares they're in a 5.0.

My Mom came from Chicago so I have a lot of family there. Never been ballsy enough to take my Mustang up that way, though. Chicago traffic is enough to get yourself killed in its own right, let alone driving something that could spontaneously combust. :D

Yeah, even when they were my DD, my 5.0's would not be found in the city(unless it was for activities that we don't dare discuss). City cars are noted easily, by being 3 months old, having at least 1 side mirror torn off, both bumpers scuffed and/or torn, and at least 5 door dings on every side panel:eek:. Not many nice fox's being driven around, at least down here on the south side. Lotta kids in junk, though. Chi Town Mustangs is how one would find the other real Mustangers round here. Went to a show last week in Valparaiso, 2 Fox's(it was a Chevy show, after all) but the were both extreme hack jobs.:notnice:
