Met the girl of my dreams today

Well you wont catch me on any of them there faciebook, tweetybird what not and so forth pages, heck I don't even text. I think the world has gone "in touch" crazy lately personally, I have all I can handle with trying to update my cardomain page once a year and visiting the forums. Heck I think there are barely even a dozen people that have my cell phone #, I mainly use it for purposeful things, not chatting.

I use it to keep in touch with my friends now that everyone's in college. All but one or two people I know have gone off to colleges in the middle of the state or in different states entirely. However, I don't sit on there for hours and waste away in front of the screen as many people do.

Pak, how's the art coming?

jim-bobs on facebook?!?!?!

:o

Yeah....... scarey, huh? I even have a myspace account; but it's been so long, I've probably forgotten my password! I got on it to "keep track" of my two daughters and who they were hanging out with, ended up using it quite a bit when I was doing the "Rodeo Management" thing; and just kind of 'quit it' when my Rodeo was over.

Got invited to join Facebook, drug my feet about signing up, finally got an account. It's amazing the number of friends of mine that are on there! It sure cuts down on the number of 'mass-blast' emails I get from old Jaycee friends; they just post on their page and I get it on mine. (As long as I remember to check it semi-regularly :p ) I've also run into a couple of old high school friends and we keep up on our families. There's even been a little planning talk of us actually getting together for our 30th reunion next year; which would be a "Hoot", since I'm the only one that's moved back to town. Of the others, one lives in Kansas, one in L.A. - that takes a little more driving than my 4 mile trip down to Yuma High! The lady might make it from L.A.; but my ol' buddy Jeff still has a good-sized family at home, and that's a bit of a drive from out there in flyover country.

Won't do you any good..... Fritz and I will gather what little snippets of info that Dan leaks out, and make up all sorts of outrageous stuff on our own! :rlaugh:
You might as well just be open about it.
(BTW, have you seen her 'ninja' pictures????? I'd be verrrr-rrr-ry polite if I were you! )

Haha, I wanna be your friend SD! Dad's on Facebook along with BBFCM, BDT, and John of course. Probably others, but I don't know of them.
You got it, Dee; after I finish this post, I'll go jump over there and hunt you guys down. ESPECIALLY if my BLUE Closet-Mate is hangin' out over there...... I've wondered what's been keeping him busy.... I thought it was just the two nubile young female room-mates, but this also could be having a effect on him

And Pak, I'm with you on this stuff..... I've finally just recently gotten into texting - even got a phone with a micro-miniature QWERTY keyboard! But still, when I get a text from somebody; I still end up just giving them a voice call to reply, most of the time

Well like I said; he'd just be some big smiling guy in his 40's (47, to be exact) shoving a Coke machine around. It's a natural for him; I remember a vendor taking his $0.35 and not delivering his Dr Pepper. Jeff started slamming and shaking that box until he dumped it over on his side and it puked out about a twelve-pack of various sodas. He tossed them in my brand-new-to-me '73 Gran Torino, jumped on his Honda 400 and boogied; leaving me standing by the car - for about 2 seconds until I figured out that this was not a good place for me to hang either!

That had to have been 1979-80; but the memory is as vivid as yesterday. I remember an episode 6-7 months before.... sitting at a stoplight in my Dad's LTD behind two of the local HS jocks. Kurt and Danny getting ready to drag their dueling 4x4's - a 77 Chevy and a 70 GMC, both with matching LT-1 motors stuffed under the hoods. Light turns green, I'm choking in rubber smoke...... Jeff comes screaming up behind and around me, ducks his head under their mirrors as he passes them in the middle, before they get entirely through the intersection.

I sometimes wonder how we managed to survive to see the next 30 years.

Oh to be young, the reason you lived 30 more years is because your friends all move to different cities then you have nobody daring you to do stupid stuff vise versa, the wild one within then slowly slowly slowly dies, before you know it your sitting in your garage with nobody but your old bird dog, listening to the radio, staring at a 302 shoved into a old hot rod car, drinking a bud light, and dreaming about the times of old. That my friend is how you lived 30 more years.

but light LIME

get it right andy...he likes his girly drinks

"Girly drinks" .... You need to meet some of the 'necks down here along the border that drink the stuff because you don't have to take up valuable beer spacestoring limes in the ice chest. Plus when you're bouncing along some wash towards the River; you only need one hand to reach in the ice chest. Trying to grab a can, open a can, cut off some lime, and squeeze the lime wedge into the can; all while trying to maintain 15 MPH forward motion in 4 Low in 8" of river sand and steering with your knees seems like a good way to have to break out your tow strap and ask for help.

Getting your "summer beer" prepackaged with the juice is more efficient; just one thing you might learn in 30 years. :nice:
