After returning back from Ford's 2010 Anual Show I found out that the flatbed tow truck rear tie chain bended a bit my rear valance. I decided to purchase a set of 1966 factory rear tie brackets and install them. There is no L or R on them and they can be installed either inside the frame rail (towards the gas tank) or out side (towards the 1/4 panel just by inverting them. Anyone knows what's the right way to install them?

Thanks in advance

Sorry, no pictures.....mine are mounted on the inside of the frame rails, and bend towards the center of the car, just in front of the shackle mounts. Not a concours car but it looks like they have been there forever.....

Thanks. Do you mean that the loop hole where you insert the tow hooks is pointed to the front of the car?
