With the big help of my mechanic friends we were able to install the cams. Its a big job, but lets call it a technical job. Using that spring compressor was not easy IMO. You had to get it just right or it wouldnt work. I download the brenspeed rocker tune and the car started up fine, but once it was warmed up the idle was too high 950-1000. Drove around the block a few times and it didnt feel right. Throttle response is slow, actually hidious IMO, idle will drop to 600-750 ish when just coasting( sounds great) but when you hit the brakes to stop it kinda surges to 950-1000 and pushes the car. Decided to drive home and a few miles later the od light started blinking, then two miles later at a stoplight I went to give it gas and the trans acted like it was in neutral. I shifted to first and it moved forward. This also happened again when I stopped again at my neighborhood gate.

Today I did not drive it all all. I just rechecked all connections and for oil leaks. No issues there. I started it up again several times, let it warm up and took another video.

I will call brenspeed tomorrow and talk with Dave. I am very sure this is a tune issue. My trans has never had any issues. If anybody here has these cams and an auto trans I would like to hear from you.

Talked with brenspeed today. They are sending me a revised tune. It seems my issues are related to the auto trans. I think you will be fine. I hope you have the two tools to do this install, I cant imagine doing it without them. Good luck.

yea i got the wedge and compressor. how did the install go, im doing LT's, delete plates and driveshaft at the same time.

Ok first, I got a new tune and all is fixed. Brenspeed rocks!!

Now to your deal.....header install is a huge job, not technical but just time consuming. I followed a DIY write up from another forum. If you need it, LMK and I will look it up. It took two days for 3 guys to do the headers. We made some errors along the way so our next install will go much faster!:rlaugh:

The cam install is quite technical. Again I followed a write up from another site. My friends whom helped me are quite familiar with wrenching so I wasnt worried about it. We took our time, had some issues with the spring compressor. Couldnt get enough lift so we had to place a wrench under the forked end to get enough compression. Also used a screwdriver to help along the ?????? thingies.....cant remember what they were called! You really want to make sure you dont knock any of the followers out of place when placing the cam into place etc... They are barely balanced and knock out of place easily. Another guy on another forum made that mistake and didnt realize to he started it!:notnice: Not good.

Good luck and LMK if I can help.

Thnx man, and, just so U know I work my ass off, and spend all my spare $ on my car... I waited 9 years to buy a new car and the 201 is what I picked.. so, after ALOT of research and alotta talkin w/ chandler @ Brenspeed I chose them to work w/... to be honest, no other company or speedshop ever has told me so much valuble info, and, most important, DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME ANYTHING! Anyone can make a sale, but Chandler and Dave @ brenspeed told what NOT to buy, even if they sell it, and walked me through installs... BRENSPEED IS NOT A COMPANY THAT IS BUILT TO SELL, IT'S A COMPANY THAT IS BUILT ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A GOOD NAME! Thats why I'm driving 12 hours for the Detroit rockers, delete plates and a dyno tune all the way from N.Y...... I'm not a newbie @ the track or on the street, but a company that takes pride in making what they sell work, even after U pay is a company that gets my +!! BRENSPEED ALL THE WAY!!
