So I got 2 runs in then they cut it due to lightning. First run was horrible. 2.2 60ft [email protected]. That was leaving at about 2500 rpm and slipping the clutch till it was going decent then slammed the pedal down. It spun alot in 1st, half of 2nd and part of 3rd.

Second run I left like leaving a stoplight. 2.1 60ft [email protected]. Spun at the top of 1st, part of 2nd and slightly in 3rd.

This was half tank of gas, everything still in the car, including spare and jack, and a cooler with some mountain dew and ice, lol. I weigh about 190lb.

6m, 373's, hushpower catback, steeda cai and bama 93 race.

Both time slips were me and the srt4. Im in the mustang duh.

track elevation - 1110ft, 80degrees and 49% humidity.

Maybe someday i will drive the 4 hours to cecil to go faster.

113 is a great mph, I agree with previous post a set of sticky tires will get you in the low 12 - 11.9 area.

I'm with Sparta. Traction will make a day and night difference. As a general rule, a tenth better in the 60' will drop you two tenths on the big end. Add some M/T ET Streets to a second set of rims, then add UPR control arms. With practice it'll go 1.70 to the 60' and be right on that 12.00/11.99 threshold. :flag:

Since going to the track, I have been looking at tires and wheels. Does a 15" wheels fit on the rear of these cars without modifying the brakes?

If i am going to buy wheels and tires I am definitely going to do it the lightest way possible.

Also, do these newer stangs have the same weak area where the control arms mount (torque box)?

As far as my weight, I just got transferred off third shift. Lost alot of weight there. Bad sleeping and eating habits.

You need to launch smoother and at less rpm. I learned the hard way and found with my 11 GT/CS automatic that I needed to back off and launch around 1800-2000 rpms to get less wheelspin and lower 60 foot times.

Also, I crunched some numbers. You have a 12.3 to 12.4 sec car based upon density altitude corrections.

Wasnt revving at all on the launch. Left like i was pulling out on the street.

I'm hoping I have more mph in the car. On my second run, I was shifting extremely slow trying to keep the tire spin to a minimum. On the first run, shifting like you do on a normal track run, it spun a considerable amount more.
