Pony Emblems

I want to buy the running Pony set emblems for my 2010 's fenders. The fenders have no emblems right now, so if i buy the aftermarket Ponys they have the guide pins. Whats the best way to get rid of the pins and just use the tape backing?

Clip the plastic pins off with a pair of sidecutters or a box knife. Just make sure that you cut them off below the level of the tape.

job completed. Pins were plastic. I thought the pins were going to be metal, thats why i asked the best way to get rid of them. thanks
