Recent Pics of Your Car

 I never understood why people black out their plates when posting pics... who gives a f**k.

Now, I can understand if you're a detailer and out of respect for your clients privacy to block out the plates before posting pics of the detail, but like Steeda said anyone can see your plates when you drive. Some people must be really paranoid that they have internet stalkers or something :rlaugh:

+1. Never bothered with it.

REALLY crappy pic but for now..

That was going to be my second guess. I would also like one of those but they are too pricey for me.

I picked it up for pennies for what people are getting them for. I got the whole decklid and spoiler for $300. It's a part I have always wanted but like you I saw how much ford loves them with the 600 price for the spoiler then you need the light and drill/fix holes in your decklid. This way I get to keep my original and sell the Cobra later when I decide to sell the car.

 I am also lazy and never edit mine. It really is crazy at how much information can be gathered from a simple LP though. Granted it doesn't mean that you live there but it wasn't difficult to find that you listed your address as 5514 _______ Avenue

+1. Never bothered with it.
Your physical address still 2601?

Just messing with you guys :flag: I never really understood the blocking out the plates either unless you are hiding from something/someone :rlaugh:

I'd rather be safe than sorry later. Yea ok everyone sees it when driving but there are places where you can get info from plates out there, it only takes 2 min if that to black it out. Our cars are already a target since we pump so much money into them no need to give them another avenue to find exactly where you're car resides at night.

In a small town area it isn't a big deal to block you're plate. Living in bigger area theives browse the boards and watch for cars. It has happened a few times on a local site. It's sad you can't even post pics of your car without some low life trying to steal it. It's like car rape.

+1, that was my point. If I know where a car with all of these expensive parts resides, don't you think you would go for that vs the run of the mill car? Part it out and call it a day and no one will ever know.

Where the car is registered at? Yes.

Where I live and where the car stays? No.

Yea, I know. And out of curiosity, did you get that information without the help of law enforcement? I have always been under the impression that only law enforcement can obtain that information, and even they were supposed to do it only if they had a reason to.

Websites such as PublicData.com [ Home Page ] give that information out. Local media sites use sites such as that on crash scenes quite often to get information for their releases.

You'll see on other forums where people will post a license plate to try to find where the person is from and it won't take long for someone to post up results. There are a few sources to track these down from; you can pm me if you want more info
