Build Thread Want To Blow 5 Years And $50k On A Foxbody? Step By Step Instructions Inside!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I definitely appreciate it. I'm glad my build can be a form a motivation for some. I knew I was highly motivated by some threads over the years here. Lots of guys on here have built some kick ass cars. It's amazing how just watching someone else's car come together makes you want to get off your ass and work on your own.

I'm also really excited to get this thing on all fours. I think I'll work on getting the driveshaft installed next so I get the driveline angles setup. Once that's done I can get the exhaust in. That should pretty much finish up the underside of the car.

Oh, @lizardsman, I think the technical forum term is pr0n. That will get you around the filters :)

I guess no news is not good news in the world of build threads. Haven't had the chance to touch the car in some time. I had a house party this weekend, so much of last week was spent preparing for that. I'm also going to Jacksonville next week, so I'll be gone for 5 days. I am hoping to get some work done on it this weekend though. You can expect much of the build to progress like this. Feast or famine. I won't touch the car for two weeks, but then I'll spend an entire weekend wrenching on it.

awesome. just got back from 3 weeks in west texas and am glad to see how it's looking.

my last 89 hatch i sold to a close friend of mine. been helping him with his 76mm turbo build. and my 90 notch is under the knife again with some coolant/oil mixture issues. i've sent him this thread for motivation on his. he's not as detailed, but it should be a decent setup until he blows it up and goes with a dart block.

I did managed to get some work done tonight. Installed the C/C plates as well as the struts and coil overs. Also tightened down the hub to spindle nuts. 250ft. lbs. Yea, that was fun! I'm going to stop at the hardware store tomorrow to get a set of 10.9 flanged caliper bracket bolts so I can get the calipers mounted up. I did also get the rest of the fuel line fittings I needed, so I'm going to work on getting the fuel system all buttoned up in addition to the AN heater lines I built. I'm very happy with my choice to switch to all black fittings. Really makes everything look slick. Tomorrow and Monday should bring some good progress pictures hopefully.
