Hello from dayton!

Never owned or even ridden in a mustang but love the way they look and sound.
I'm looking to buy one but have no idea which year or model. Budget is 15-18k. Basically with that budget it looks like I can get a 2007-2008 gt or a 2012 v6. Both are similar in hp...any suggestions? Is there going to be a big difference in drive, sound, speed ? I always thought it was gt or nothing but with the power of the newer v6 I don't know.

IMO if you could probably find a nice '06 - '08 GT for that kind of $. About a year ago I picked up an '06 GT with 28k garage kept miles on it for around that $ and I'm really happy with it. It runs and feels like it's just getting broken in. I know they tell you that the HP is similar but it's been my experience that there is a big difference in feel and torque. Also, you can do alot more with the V8. That being said, if you're looking for more of a daily driver with a big concern about MPG than the V6 might be the way to go for you. I go with "if you're gonna buy a muscle car...
