The pics above are kind of throwing me off. So is the main body harness removed as well? If you are going to make it a dedicated track car, then it should be a pretty straight forward build. If you would like a decent daily driver with creature comforts like heat, A/C, ect, you may want to find a wrecked 94/95 GT as a donor car since you already have a roller in what appears to be really good condition.

Ron Francis Wiring, to me, is the best if you want to start with a totally new harness with all of the modern stuff people want in their cars.

They can custom build what you'll need and tell you exactly how to put it in and where it all goes.

Unless you still have the original wiring harness and want to use that.

A new harness from stem to stern will be under a grand, maybe $750ish.

Hey fellas, I haven't been around to reply, I didn't think i would get any replies... To add more info to this ....I will upload some new pics those are all I had from 3 years ago ....

I can't stress enough that I have no idea how to go about starting this, when people say just fire the engine in or yah just put the motor mounts in , that doesn't give me any help at all because I don't have the understanding of how to do the process, I am basically a toddler you could say that needs a guiding hand but very inclined to learn this stuff...

So right now the car is a shell, with only suspension left, driveline, chassis, there is no wiring, no interior, no gas tank, and it was a v6 pony so their is nothing GT at all ... It is sitting on donuts on wheel dollies....

Where to start what to contract out im unsure yet , I cleaned the whole interior of the car and engine bay and sprayed it with rust prevention gloss black so nothing could spread ... minimal rust ...

There is exposed frame rail in the trunk can see into it i sprayed that with rust prevention years ago to stop spread ....

. The car is going to be daily driver with some extra b.s.. strong enough to take to a track or road course .. but not crazy enough that my wallet is drained driving around town ...

You can use a LOT of v6 stuff for the build.. to give you an idea.. I just took my 95 cobra and ripped both it and a 95 v6 car totally apart about 90%.. I kept all of the cobra specific wiring and such of course, but man.. a LOT of parts i've been borrowing from the v6.. for obvious reasons a lot of the parts are the same.. you def. need GT/Cobra computer and matching harness though.. best best is to go to a junkyard and rip one out of a gt or cobra if they have one.

Good luck.

Damn.. ok lemme go through the last 6 or 7 months on my phone haha.. I was gonna do it eventually for a whole thread but 'm sure I can throw a few up here showing progress.. it was a NIGHTMARE.. not so much in terms of being 'hard' just.. time consuming and extremely frustrating and how Ford put :poo: together.. lmfao.. WOW....

Gimme a few mins haha..

Those Shelby covers are original, 68-70 289. they have the proper cuts/galvanized baffles/etc.. and are NOT the Drake repros.. they don't fit my 1.7 RR's as they tap a bit.. so.. they are for sale. Anyone interested.. i'd take 4 bills lol.

i have a wrecked 95 for sale

OP needs wiring and computer/etc. Even if he had to pay for your wrecked car and $500 to ship it, he can still make out well.. all i'm sayin'.. if you know how to sell parts, or recycle them into new projects, these motors are gold.

You did something similar right with (2) 95 cars?

i wanted to sell the entire car with motor and tranny but lately was just thinking about using most of the parts off of it and do a 331 for the 95 I bought a year ago. If I go that route, I will have some suspension items for sale and a lot of other stuff stil

Yep.. It's better to piece it out if you know what you're doing mechanically.. just yank it apart and sell it.. i've probably taken 10 or 12 pieces off the v6 to round out this project.. a lot of the 'new' $50 and $70 parts? All on the v6.. same :poo:. I've saved a small fortune having a v6 donor here.. I'm sort of amazed myself, lol. And I can always go junkyard hunt and replace most of the little stuff.. no worries.
