Gotta make sure you got good power and ground connections. Thats a key ingredient to these efi systems.
12.5 on battery by itself.
13.5 preferably better at idle with nothing else on. Nothing less with everything, lights, ac, blower on high, interior lights on. Really ideal would be in the 14 volt range. Thats at idle.
No more than a .5 volt drop across grounds.

Well I'm 95% positive it's the pip sensor. I took the spout off the distributor and car fired right up and runs fairly smooth. Is it possible it's just a bad spout?? Or is it the pip? I really appreciate everyone's help on this board by the way, thank you

there answer is here ...
5.) Fuel pressure OK, the injectors are not firing.
A.) The PIP sensor in the distributor tells the computer when to fire the injectors. A failing PIP sensor will sometimes let the engine start if the SPOUT is removed.

If that is what you got, then the problem is the PIP sensor; swap the distributor out for a remanufactured unit.

Replaced the distributor with a new Cardone (only because it was the only one local) and the car runs better than ever.... without the spout connector. When I plug it in car doesn't start

No spark or no noid pulse?
I have spark just like before, not sure about noid pulse. I made marks to make sure I put my distributor in the same spot as the other so if it's off it can't be by much. Someone is borrowing my timing light so I can't check it right now. Car runs better than ever without the spout though.
