Okay so I have Sn95 disks with 13inch rotors on my 65. Bought this project from someome else and decided to go over the brakes today since they do not work that well.
While driving the front end feels sloppy! Jacked up the car today and the wheel hubs had some play in them when shaking them back n forth. Took the wheels off and noticed the 36mm hub nut was backed out almost to the cotter pin. Did some further reading and torque specs were about 250 foot pounds. Torqued it to spec,no play while trying to jiggle the wheels. It took about 2 inches of play out of the steering wheel!Took it around the block twice and on the 3rd time the bearings started squeaking and squealing big time!
Now looking at the back of the hub and calipers there's a steel plate adapter the previous owner fabbed up to attach the calipers. Is it possible he did not use the Sn95 spindles?
At this point I'm ready to buy stock new spindles and throw a willwood kit on lol
