I don't do car shows. I love a nicely put together car, but I refuse to waste a day doing nothing but looking at cars. I like to DO something with the car, like oh, I don't know, how about drag racing, where you can take your car that you have spent countless hours on getting every last detail right so you can flog the living sh*t out of it. And then in between rounds of racing go and look at the other nicely put together cars and marvel at the engineering and ingenuity that is put into the build to get it to go amazingly fast. But that is just me. :)

Oh, yeah! It is not just a pretty face...it runs bottom 8's at over 165 mph!
By my reckoning it is the Fastest and Quickest 8.2 deck SBF running a Kenne Bell supercharger. Not something you see every day.
How bout a pic of that t bird next to it?

Holy s*it, I have a Saleen, 1989, conv. 12,950 orig mi. and it's pretty impressive as a street car, but I'm too dam old now to do all that to it, now at 81, I actually have it for sale along with most or all my 15 mustangs. I drag raced most of my life, stock class cars and bikes and broke most of my bones, but I do have a crazy radical modified 67 fastback (garage built funny car) still sits unfinished. Keeep uo the good work guys, Mustang Harry

Hey guys, I am not in this contest, but own 15 mustangs and have over 150 trophy's from Mustang shows, last 30+ years, I LOVE ORANGE. Here's one of my favorite cars.

I'd like it more on older/rounder cars, but they all had wilder color options back then.

This is cool. Still not a color I'd want for myself, but it looks "right" on this car.

Admit it,....You just don't like "loud colors". Your own car is a testimonial to that,..I like the green that is on yours, but it is an absolute statement to your preference for an understated tone.

Oh I definitely have a preference towards earth tones and more subtle colors, but I didn't even pick out this green, the guy who painted it talked me into it. I originally wanted a metallic gray or gunmetal. I did end up loving this color but what has really surprised me is how much attention it gets because it's such an uncommon color. I do think if your car was a similar color it would get a lot more attention.

Your car like this....cmon..

I voted for the monster. Best features of the car are the little details, like that intake manifold and that shifter. The other two are really nice cars but I would put @mikestang63 or @GroverDill 's up against them.

I think we are comparing apples to oranges here, however. IMO fox mustangs don't really take well to body mods or non OEM interior mods. I think it's due to the squareness and lack of sheet metal. I don't remember the last time I saw a truly custom fox mustang, and don't think I have ever seen one I liked.

Some cars, not all, develop personality, the owner has something to do with it, I kinda let the vehicle tell me about it self, my truck is red, it stands tall, looks good but it's not fast, is not loud and is shiny and proud.
My car on the other hand gave me nothing but trouble for years, I had a plan to change the spoiler, paint it and make it look respectable, it's a common blue over silver belly button gt. Nothing worked as far as adding this or painting that, then I decided that it was going to keep most of the patina that is that car, it's a junk yard dog and thats the way it's going to be.
Mike's car is gila monster orange. It can't be anything else or it would change the ' personality' it has developed. It's not belly button anything, it's in your face with a six shooter, gills, bars in the interior and a hair dryer attitude that says you better have balls if your gonna drive me cause I can get angry sideways whenever I want. And he's orange.
He's either your friend or not.

We're just gonna have to agree to disagree here,..I look at that Nova and think "If he'd only put a brighter color on it, it would pop"

In my opinion, that green that you like "Understates" what has been done to the car (Nova),..If it had been electric blue, or a dark metallic red, the yellow that Chevrolet uses on everything(or Orange) those wheels wouldn't be so invisible on the car.

If you and I ever meet, and the Monster is with me you'll find out for yourself very quickly that this color gets more than enough attention already...

I am a fan of loud color's and believe it or not considered orange but I bought the car black in 89 so It got the original single stage paint it came with. I believe I fall into a strange category, yes I bought the car new but my wife drove it daily for 11 years and 105,000, after many years contemplating what to do with it ,it was painted, every piece of exterior molding replaced including the quarter windows, headlights, windshield . Taillights are original, transmission rebuilt , replaced the brakes, yes original but powerstop calipers and rotors, new drums, wheel cylinder and brake lines, replaced everything under the hood but the bottom end , I mean everything.. interior is original. So even though it doesn't have any really custom touches where does a car like this fit into the rodded world?

It fits in as a damn nice example of a survivor that you can be proud of.
