We're trying to figure out how the hell are we going to get to that pot of gold !!!!

That's my favorite cousin, Joel. We've been through a lot since childhood but the miles will never separate us. We've been doing great the last couple years. Bigger things ahead.

You two make a cute couple
Oh and that pot o gold, don't bother, they keep moving it around, it will drive you crazy.
Glad to hear you had a good time, life is short so bring a friend.

:stick: pick me next time! :jester:

This is the real couple. This woman is amazing !!!

My parts came this morning. Everything was great until I found out that the 5/16 adapter was too big to fit between the two notches on the hard line.

I had to use my drill and open up the back of the fitting. At this point I was mad as hell... and determined.

Passenger side done. Wasn't too bad...

That crap was so hard that I had to break it out. Its all worth it though...
IMG_20170726_193330576.jpg

The guy I bought the weatherstrip from lied a little. He said the weatherstrip was for the hatch or trunk....that was a lie. It was the door weatherstrip...so...my drivers side door now has fresh weatherstrip. Due to the sun going down and 5 Dos Equis that was all I got done.

The flash on my phone makes Dusty look dustier than he is.:nonono:

The drivers side belt weatherstrip is next... The passenger side door needs to be raised about 1/4 inch and then it too can get weatherstrip.

I had a beautiful vacation but its nice to be back at home with Dusty...oh...and my wife and kids...:O_o:

These things are long gone.

Got the driver side belt molding done. Indiana must be hard on rubber because this stuff literally crumbled.
IMG_20170727_192533684.jpg

When I did the drivers side door pins I aligned the door pretty good. The passenger door is too low and the gap between the quarter and the door is a hair too big. In these pics you can see the difference in the two gaps above the doors.

Now I only need the passenger side door to body weatherstrip....and mirror covers, door lock actuators, SEM trim black, and carpet, seat belt covers, arm rest pad, window tint, ....and on and on and on... When does it ever stop ?

@karthief Do you still have a drivers side LX tail light laying around ? The more I look at these clear tail lights the more I hate them. :bang:

Mine is cracked and I'd rather just replace it than to fix it.

OK....I'm a dumb***...

This is the first time I ever documented a build. This shows that I'm not the brightest bulb sometimes...

Today's saga.... The car was moved yesterday to cut the grass. No biggie I've done it tons of times. Hosed down the spot the car usually parks and proceeded to back into Dusty's home spot.

What do I see coming out of the cowl....?

Dang smoke....in the same corner as the fuel lines...dang smoke I tell ya

Billowing out from under the drivers side headers. I jack the car up and see a small puddle of.....oil. Dang oil again. :nonono:

Now this gets interesting. So far I've sealed my fuel pump block off plate, sealed all the fittings on the oil sender, replaced leaky valve covers, and replaced the fuel lines that were seeping in that area.

I slide under there armed with a can of brake clean and clean everything on that side of the block.

Then I notice something.... Oil is spitting out of the block dipstick hole ( not the compression fitted canton dipstick apparatus )....but the hole in the block that I forgot to seal 2 freaking years ago.

A little cleaning and some " right stuff " and that dumb issue is now fixed. Well we'll find out tomorrow after that stuff sets up a bit. I could a sworn I plugged this thing while it was on the stand....

Maybe not...
