So I think my driving season is going to come to an end. Took the car this AM for a sticker and noticed it falling flat on its face.
Since I have a cowl mounted FP gauge it was easy to see the fuel pressure spikes to 39psi and then falls off almost immediately and I can feel the car going nowhere. Cruising around its fine but any load and it's dropping off.
Check valve on the pump has been toast this season too. Pressure goes to zero when the key is off.
I have a walbro 190lph. That should be ebough for my 300-325hp combo with 30# injectors right?
Just need to get a fuel tank grommet and drive around locally to burn off some fuel. Currently at 3/4 tank.
I don't smell any fuel at the regulator. It's one of those older Kirban units that was touted as revuildable. Thing is, I can't find a rebuild kit. Anyone have a lead?
Weather starting to change and baby due in Oct, so gonna drive it locally to burn off some gas, then change oil, toss the '97 Cobra wheels on for the winter and get set to park it. I'll tackle the pump over the winter.
Edit: going to sell a set of 94-98 SN95 axles locally. What's a good asking price?
