Perhaps this has been mentioned but you might need a little creativity to get the Redline e-brake boot to fit right.

I can't recall if I removed the rubber gasket or not.

Still debating if I want to run it. Looks rather big and bulky. I kinda like a smaller boot similar to the gasket.

Waiting for my Ford e brake recall part to come in. Does the same thing as welding the handle pawl except I can undo it and adjust the brake tension from IN the car vs going under it.

I'm interested in seeing what this part looks like. I've got a 98 e brake handle in my car. It works great...for now.

Basically it just bolts to the top of the handle. And locks the adjuster so it can't move. It's no different than welding the pawl. I'll post pics when I get it on the install.

Was $5 shipped on eBay. Prob might be cheap if you walk into Ford.

Bored, and been playing with the daily more than the Mustang.

Plugged in my laptop, and went from this...

Obviously it doesn't work...yet. Found myself a heated wheel module on eBay. Going to see if I can plug it in and get a response. If I do...well I'll just need to find myself a steering wheel then!

Too bad the SHO alcantara wheel is $800+ in the heated version :(

Are you finding Forscan easy to work with? I have very little computer experience and worry about screwing something up. I have read of people making changes and losing some other unrelated function, or flickering lights, etc.
Are you using a usb to obd adapter or bluetooth?

Guess I know what I'm doing Sat AM.

Found an SHO steering wheel on Ebay for $60. Scrap yard misidentified it. Heated wheel, paddle shifters, better leather. Really need to see if the wiring is present to do this mod. Already have the module to control it.

I think @LaserSVT was just looking for one of these as well. I think he said, ":fuss:" when he saw the price tag.

I find it pretty easy. I backed up all my modules first, but you can redownload them from Ford as well. I haven't had any issues, and I've made a bunch of changes and haven't experienced anything negative now. It can also be used to make new keys, which might be valueable to a lot of people

I've changed some stuff on my car, a coworkers fusion, my friends F150 and coworkers Flex. All without a hitch.

I'm using an wired OBD2 to USB adapter with an MS/HS can switch. Don't know the brand off-hand but I got it off Amazon a while back. Need the laptop running windows to make changes.

Honestly, if you have a newer Ford, you should use Forscan to do diagnostics vs other OBD2 reader programs. You don't need to use it to do programming. It will read the DTC's from all the modules, as well as the PCM, and all you to reset, or run calibrations on them as well. A lot more power than your standard OBD2 code reading app. Good support on the forums for it as well.

This one is the standard leather wheel. The Alcantara wheel is the one everyone has wet dreams over that came on the PP SHO's and costs $800 new (heated) or $500ish for the non-heated version.

I'll probably flip this wheel I have on Ebay once I determine 100% I can't do the swap.

So here's the piece.

Here's how it installs

The hole the bolt is in is not tapped, so I may run a tap through it first. But basically this locks the self adjuster mechanism similar to how us fox guys weld the handle. Unsure if this part will work on the fox handle, but I assume it is the same.

It can be installed without pulling the handle...and you can always unbolt it and adjust the handle from inside since it's not welded.

So I think my driving season is going to come to an end. Took the car this AM for a sticker and noticed it falling flat on its face.

Since I have a cowl mounted FP gauge it was easy to see the fuel pressure spikes to 39psi and then falls off almost immediately and I can feel the car going nowhere. Cruising around its fine but any load and it's dropping off.

Check valve on the pump has been toast this season too. Pressure goes to zero when the key is off.

I have a walbro 190lph. That should be ebough for my 300-325hp combo with 30# injectors right?

Just need to get a fuel tank grommet and drive around locally to burn off some fuel. Currently at 3/4 tank.

I don't smell any fuel at the regulator. It's one of those older Kirban units that was touted as revuildable. Thing is, I can't find a rebuild kit. Anyone have a lead?

Weather starting to change and baby due in Oct, so gonna drive it locally to burn off some gas, then change oil, toss the '97 Cobra wheels on for the winter and get set to park it. I'll tackle the pump over the winter.

Edit: going to sell a set of 94-98 SN95 axles locally. What's a good asking price?

Mike,

take a vacuum gauge to the regulator and see if it holds vacuum.
kirban sells a replacement diaphragm

http://www.kirbanperformance.com/product/44186/REPLACEMENT+DIAPHRAGM+FOR+KIRBAN+STYLE+ADJUSTABLE+FUEL+PRESSURE+REGULATOR+#7602.html

You can also send it back and they rebuild them, or used to. I havent had to rebuild one in years,

I say those axles might got for $50-100

This kirban is maybe 20 years old, so who knows what shape it is in. I don't smell gas, but I'll have to grab a small vac hand pump and test.

Pump needs to be changed regardless. It's 30 years old.

I definitely noticed this issue slightly a while ago, but now it's more prominent. If I got WOT the FP spikes to 39psi and then drops off even under full load to 30-34psi. Seems strange.

Regardless, new pump, filter and rebuild of regulator on tap. I figure I'll do a couple local drives to burn down gas and see if I can troubleshoot now. I can't even merge into the highway now as I just can't go WOT. It falls on its face.
