Hi, 1977 Mustang ll Mach 1 V8 project. I picked it up from a guy who was running out of space for all his project cars! Now its my head ache! 'lol' once I fix these its off to paint.

#1 How do you fix a cracked 3 gallon auxiliary tank?
#2 where can I find the 3 ribbed filler neck and rubber boot for that tank?
#3 How do you remove the lock from the glove compartment?
Thanks for any help guys!

1. You can try this: Amazon product ASIN B009X0JOSMView: https://www.amazon.com/Red-Kote-Quart-Sealer-Diesel/dp/B009X0JOSM
but those auxiliary tanks have been leaking since the 1970s. They honestly suck, I've removed them from both of my V8 IIs. To do that, you'll need a non-V8 filler neck for your car.
2. No idea.
3. Flat-blade screwdriver or pry-bar, but both will likely damage or destroy the brittle 40 year old plastic. One of the two keys for the car should fit it, see if you can find some graphite lock lube and give it a try before resorting to destruction.

Hi, thought about bypassing aux tank but, no idea what to replace it with. I also have 2 mustang ll. Where did you get the non V8 filler neck for yours? For the glove box, im trying to replace the back part that connects to the glove compartment by switching front cover. Need to save red door the donor is tan. The locks look like they dont come apart. Thanks for the response

Non-aux-tank necks show up on Ebay from time-to-time, but I bought mine from Phil's Mustang II Specialty Shop.

Thanks, I'll give him a call after the holiday. 20170627_195526.jpg
