Just checking to see how everyone made out with the massive noreaster we had in the area.
I know the shore of MA. was hit hard as well as here in CT. Godspeed to everyone effected.
I live in southern CT. the top of the telephone pole at the end of my driveway broke off from the wind.
It flipped over and had the high lines (13,800volts) resting on the street light, this was around 6pm
Friday night. The pole proceeded to smolder and burn all night long but we still had power.
The PD showed up twice to watch it, the FD showed up to watch it, but eventually it was just us neighbors watching it burn.

I stayed up until 1am to keep an eye on it and when I got up around 7am it was still burning. PD showed up again in the a.m. then finally a van from the power co. came around 3pm Sat. to watch it.
It finally burned enough off the top to have the transformer fall, hang by the high lines and we lost power.
Power Co. showed up around 6pm Sat. and did a great job to fix/move new transformer to another pole.
Oh yeah, and Saturday I spent most of the day cutting 3 trees that had fallen in my backyard.
Again hope everyone in the path of this storm is OK.

Lost power for a couple hours. Had a few neighbors trees come down but nothing on my property. Spent sat morning returning a handful of items that belonged to my neighbors that blew into my property. My towns max gust was 76mph. Sure felt it.

I used to own a condo on one of the beaches hardest hit. Upper floor, but pretty sure the roadway has been flooded.

Good thing this was all rain. If that was snow you could have added 2 feet of snow to the issues

My SIL went into labor in the middle of the storm

Power was out at work south of Philly. Home was fine. Glad I heeded the warnings and didn’t drive the fox to work. The first half of the day I thought, what’s the big deal? Then it started snowing sideways.

THis latest nor'easter caused more damage. Wet heavy snow about 12" or so. Lots of trees down. I had my cable wire from pole to house come down. No internet for a few days! Argh.

Another one Monday

We got 30+ inches friday...lost power for 27hrs and some were without power for 4 days...lost some tree branches but luckily everyone and the house were safe. Thankfully only got about 5 inches yesterday...if we had gotten the 18 they predicted it wouldve been a problem

3rd nor'easter due Tuesday. Just finished cleaning up from the last and my cable wire still hasn't been hooked back up to the pole yet

Yeah I know, I've had it with winter for 2018! There was some hope this on would stay out to sea but
apparently that changed. Oh well, God willing, I'll have 5 or 6 more N.E. winters and then I'm heading south!

25 inches of snow here in Bloomingdale NJ with the last storm, lost power for a day, thankfully after Hurricane Sandy I was smart enough to get a generator so the family was warm and entertained. Glad this new storm is just gonna clip us.

I know, I can't take it anymore!!!
Wife and I have basically both decided in another 5-6yrs. we will be moving south.
Looks like our youngest will be going to college in the Carolinas somewhere and
we won't be far behind.

looks like we have some where between 2" and 47' coming tonight and tomorrow.
