New and a little lost on the 3.8 fox

So I’m about to trade my Ranger for a near mint 85 Foxbody with a throttle body injected 3.8. Problem is, I am having difficulty finding out much about them. Everywhere I go it’s all 2.3 Lima or the 5.0. For one example, until I go SN95 swap for brakes, I’d like to upgrade my brake hoses to braided hoses for a better pedal (the pedal is really soft and has a long travel currently but has new pads, rotors and master). But I can’t find anything about if the 2.3 or 5.0 braided brake hose kits would work. And I am disappointed that there is nearly no forums with a 3.8 thread in the Foxbody section. So if someone could help me out, I’d be greatly appreciative.

Welcome to Stangnet.

Join us in the '79-'95 subforums, ask the same question there. We have several guys that really are sharp concerning any brake upgrades.

As for the engine itself look around Tony Morana's website or Supersix Motorsports, they'll show you ways to spend all sorts of money, lol.

It's good to have you with us.

I managed to figure out most of my brake questions by spending a few hours cross referencing part numbers. The 3.8 uses the same brake hoses and calipers as the 5.0

The pedal and brakes are fine, just not as tight as I’d like them to be. Partially due to the drums in the rear. Heading over to the Fox area. Thanks
