I would like to buy an intake spacer for my 2003 Mach 1. I'm an old school guy who just picked up a nice Mustang and am ready to upgrade. I apologize in advance for not knowing what I'm doing on here. (First time on any kind of forum, chat room, anything). Thank you for the help.

Throttle body spacers can work on some older cars (1960’s / 1970’s) if the intake / fuel configuration needs more time for air and fuel to mix properly.

This is not an issue for the SN95 (including your Mach 1). Adding more length to the intake track is not desired. Don’t get tricked by throttle body spacers.

Determine what are your end goal and budget is for your car. Great first steps include basic maintenance including fresh fluids and doing a thorough inspection for any issues.

Find a local car performance shop that is familiar with mustangs if you need some help.

Good first modifications could include exhaust changes https://www.americanmuscle.com/9904-mustang-catback-exhaust.html#shop-by4
chassis stiffening http://www.maximummotorsports.com/MM-Full-Length-Subframe-Connectors-1979-04-powdercoated-P585.aspx
Or a variety of other aspects of the car. If your budget allows you can do all sorts of things with forced induction or more extensive suspension upgrades.
