The only interior lights in my 93 convertible are in the rear view mirror and they are quite lame. Is there supposed to be interior lights other places on this car? If so, where?

Swap them for leds, I have a convertible mirror in my hatch, night and day difference, pun intended.
just be careful taking that little lens out, those tiny tabs break easy.
i documented the swap in my thread.

Would you by chance know where to find a replacement mirror (glass only). Way back when I ended up with a brand new in the box vert mirror. After storing it for years it somehow got wet and the mirrored backing ate itself off all around the edges. I've taken the glass out which is no problem on that mirror. The other mirrors are like that.

Hmm. I just opened the door on my 92 hatch and no lights came on in the kick panel areas. I wonder if there fixtures up there with burnt bulbs. Or maybe no fixtures at all. Same on the 93 vert. No lights under the dash.

Wellllll, not exactly, you need to do a chemical mixture of silver nitrate (or oxide, I forget) and some other stuff that can kill ya if you're not careful, I used the chrome/black paint on the outside edge, only 3/8 to 1" wide and the mirror was about 18" square and it was a little distorted and not clear, or should I say out of focus, it may be more pronounced on a rear view mirror, I say if you have more than 3/8" to fix then it may be a problem. Couldn't hurt to try.
it may not work on a rear view mirror with the dark mode prism .

I have a 1990 convertible and I am about to add LED interior lights to my kick panels. License plate lights work good, the ones I have are actually for a 94+ Mustang but same concept. Just tie into the door switch wiring and will work well. I got the idea from BREW2L on YouTube.
