just won 18K playing blackjack, what would you spend it on?

Wow, you must not be married. If you were, it would be more like "I've got an extra $2,000 to spend on my car what should I do? " Seriously though, I would really think about what you want as a whole before you start buying parts or kits. It sounds like you will have the power so I guess...

    Paint stripping

My car seemed to have about 10 Layers of paint on it. I used Aircraft Remover which worked well on about the top 8 but doesn't seem to affect the factory paint and prime at all. At this point I've used about 6 of those 3M Stripping discs. I don't remember what the actual name is for them but...

    Longevity of Aluminum Heads

Well, my BMW has nearly 250,000 miles on it. I had to remove the head to replace a rocker arm, so I sent it to a machine shop. It only needed valve stem seals and a very small amount of milling. I see this same thing all of the time with aluminum head- cast iron blocks. So, yes an aluminum head...

What items would you like to see the aftermarket manufactures improve upon?

Repro Weatherstripping. I got a kit from autokrafters. Most of it was very nice, but some of it leaves a lot to be desired, like the foam seal that goes along the body that the windows seal against. This should really be high quality rubber. Also the vent window seals.. it's unlikely they...

I used a one piece late model 5.0 gasket which is a perfect fit. It seemed like it would be pretty difficult to mess up. The kit comes with 4 guide pins, I could only get 2 to go in the back. -Dave

Who has done a Jag IRS in their classic 'stang?

First, I don't think that they will handle that much HP. Second, what year Jag? does it have the inboard brakes? These are very difficult to replace when the time comes. about a 20 hour job I think. Last point, these are very very heavy units. I get a lot of hot rod people coming into my...
