sorry.. non mustang question.. whats the best way to prepare chrome to be painted? i ahve an 85 silverado ive been restoring chrome bumpers are going black.. just rough it up with some sand paper and shoot ? doesnt have to be perfect just going flat black..

not to get off topic... but what makes you think they switched to aluminum because it has less vibration? why would aluminum vibrate less that steel?... i mean we straiten and balance them all before we are done building them..what the diffrence in material? a serious question i jsut really...

cant get my car to stop popping out of first gear EVERYTIME i try and start off it pops out.. i have to put it back in....then is hard as hell to get to second .. its driving me nuts.... about a month ago the part that goes into the bell houseing and hooks to the cable somehow bent and snaped...

think i screwed up tranny not sure...cant hardley start it in first.. letting out the clutch BAM! pops outta first hard...cant hardley use it now... thought maybe pro 5.0 neeeded adjusted but havnt had time to look.. thought i think that its unlikely.. feels like i busted up my first gear or...

hey all i no there has been a million threads on this... i actually chimed in on a recent one wich i now cannot find... but i havea vibration and dont no what is causing it... starts at about 50-60.. wich makes me not able to drive on e way .. or atleast i dont feel as if i should i cant feel...

anyone got any ideas for me? not ym fan i got electric... ot does not vibrate at all wen its not in gear and im revving it up sitting still...so its not the motor right?? still vibrates gong 60 or so with it in nuetral...

im having the same exact problem right now!! its driving me nuts.. my car starts vibrating at about 55-60 and get worse the faster i go still does it if i push the clutch in.. or am just at 1000 rpms coasting 60..so its gotta be wheels tires right? does this sound like what your car is...

yes! thats is the one i am talking about.. and i think i heard somthing like that someware... hmmmmy hood is pretty close as is i think im gonna switch it out...hopefully a small round chrome one will fit..

hey guys i got one of these on my car i have for a while...i really like the way they loook... does anyone use this or also worry about it catching on fire?i mean if thecar backfires or somthing or whatever.... seems liek it could easily catchand melt an expensive hood..

hey guys got one of the 5'' ? i beleive autometer tachometers with the shift light.. bought it off a friend a while back cheap no directions.. how do i hook it up..red green and white wire... ware do they go? ..

bought a set of headman longtubes a year or so ago (wich i would not recomend) and they came with 2 1/4 collectors.... need 2 1/2 to match rest of exhaust...seems all i can find are ones with 0 2 hookup.. is that all there is ? am i not looking in the right place? can i just use that and plug...
