My Engine is Out of My Car Update...

I went back and read your original 2004 thread. I'm glad it eventually all worked out for you. And congrats on the 2011! I test drove a 2011 GT a few weeks ago and it put my 2004 GT to shame, even though I had a bit of a time getting it into reverse at first. I can only imagine what your GT500...

2004 Mustang GT dash pad removal

Good grief. If all of this wiring needs to be pulled for the dash swap I'm going to take a pass on it. Calling that a PITA looks to be a major understatement.

2004 Mustang GT dash pad removal

Do you know if/where just the new cover can be purchased? Or it is a case of finding a good used donor dash/cover someplace? Thanks for your help.

2004 Mustang GT dash pad removal

Do you mean that the cover itself can be replaced after you remove the dash or the entire dash itself (including the cover) must be replaced? It sounds like the cover itself is a permanent part of the entire dash and can't be separated from the rest of the dash. I see a few places where I can...

2004 Mustang GT dash pad removal

Thanks for the confirmation of the one part dash. Looks like it may be time to try to find a good used dash at a decent price that'll fit this car at an automotive recycler. Wonder if there are any good parts yards in Wisconsin. Or maybe a dash cover like the Nu Image GP152, although I'm...

2004 Mustang GT dash pad removal

It's located on the soft dash pad directly above the air vents at the top of the center console. The damaged area is highlighted by the red box in the picture below. It's right about where 1994-1997 Mustangs used to have the pod with the clock.

2004 Mustang GT dash pad removal

There are a few cracks in the soft dash pad of a 2004 Mustang GT I'm looking at. Does anyone know if just the soft dash pad (top, padded part of the dash) can be removed/replaced on a 2004 Mustang GT or would the entire dash need to be replaced? I've looked on the diagram on Ford's parts...

Any chance someone could help me with a carfax?

I've helped out people in the past with this but nowadays others seem more interested in busting your balls than helping out. I was going to ask if anyone could run one for me but it's not worth the grief. If/when I get an unlimited account again I'll be happy to help out as much as I...

    My 65 Mustang "Screaming Horse"

All I can say is WOW. I have a Screaming Yellow Mustang GT so I'm partial to the color you chose. I hope you get to enjoy actually driving it and not keep it as a trailer queen. I bet it's a blast to drive. Congratulations on the excellent job!

    Post them pics!!!!!!

I came across the following pictures from a local car show a few years ago. Since my 2004 Mustang GT does not qualify as a classic, I figured the best I could do is share these pictures. At least until I'm fortunate to have my own 1969-70 fastback, red or black, V8 4 speed manual.
