well, took my old 3g in for testing and it had a bad diode. i purchased a new one and it came with wiring instructions (kinda weird) anyways, it gave directions for a 2 wire setup the only thing is it bypasses the battery indicator light (oh whelp) everything is charging up and working...

blown5.0 which wire is it that goes to the ignition? i have no power at my "I" terminal for the alternator (ignition switch). any guesses anyone? can i just tap into another switched ignition wire to run the alternator?

ok i did the 3G conversion and hooked all the wires up where they're supposed to go but when i put a voltage reader on the stud i get 12.22. when i test the green wire i get a 0 reading so i connected a wire from the stud to the green wire and the alternator kicks on, squeels and reads something...

JRicker, when the car's running what should the green votage regulator wire read at? how many volts. etc..? also my battery box is vented with cable grouments but not sealed at the top and i think it's race legal. (Taylor batt. relocation kit w/ aluminum box)

how do you guys relocate it higher on the engine? is there a bracket i need to buy? if so, from where? i have an electric water pump i would like to install but the powersteering/ a/c bracket is in the way.
