Those are the factroy harness colors. Is the factory plug cut off, if not go get an adapter. I got mine at wall mart for 5.00. If it is you can pull the speakers and look at the wires conneting to them and then find the constant, ground and switched wires with a voltage meter.

what kind of mp3 player? If an ipod then look into the newer Apline units, they are full speed. If you want more EQ, Time alignment and better crossover points then look into the pioneer 880.

If it sounds good on some songs then sounds bad on a sond with a lot of bass I would think that the amp and speakers arent blown. if they were it should sound bad on all songs. Maybe turn down the bass when playing those songs?

Are you sure it can run 2 ohms bridged? there isnt many 4 channel amps that do thst. most bridged will only go down to 4 ohms. I have been trying to find out. i would wire the subs in series to get the ohms to 8 and try that. if it stops the shutting down then that might be the problem. I have...

what subs are you using? I hope you dont have to low of impedence for the amp. Lowest it should be is 4 ohms.

efficiency, some speakers are more efficient then others therefore make more sound with less power. also rule of thumb is you have to double the power to get 3 more decibles of sound. My Assassin gets louder with the same amount of power then my Arc, IDQ and Infinity does.

Running an assassin right now. get loud and doesnt sound bad. depends on what you are wanting the sub for, SQ or SPL. Assassins are more of a SQL sub. Mine is in a 1.2sf sealed box and if I was to keep it I would be going smaller to get it a little tighter sound, I like the plain look, lol...

I might be wrong but the tweets run off the deck power and the mids run off the amp under the deck. It does sound like the amp under the deck isnt turning on or has been bypassed. either way pull the deck out and check all the connections

I would start with a new deck. I used my Pioneer with the stock speakers till I got the rest of my system installed. made the sound better. here is the deck I got. i think it looks good in the new dash. Its a pioneer 880prs.
