Wow, it has been a long time!

Hey Naz what's up. We met in Germany at least once. I bought a CAI off you for my 96. Back in the states now huh? Cool!

Any PMS users in the NW?

I've been running a PMS for about 6 months now. It is a love / hate relationship. I love all of the features and level of control it gives you, but I hate not having enough time for all the trial and error tuning it has taken to get my car running right.

    PMS Tuning for E85........

You don't want to run straight ethanol on a non-ethanol factory prepped car. A 20% ethanol/gas blend is considered the safe limit.

    3g alternator pulley

Yes, if you are running underdrives you are going to want to go with a smaller alt pulley on the 3G.

+1, pull that pump and check it before something nasty happens.

    Wheel ?

Yes, yes, and yes. There are many different flavors of 5 lug conversions and you need to know which one you have. I tried that same wheel/tire combo on my 92, and it looked fine with good clearance. I'm not running quad shocks so can't help there. I didn't drive with them on so i don't know how...

    starting a sitting gt

You should post this to 5.0 tech, but I would change the oil to a heavier weight and pray the seals aren't rotted out.

    5.0L vs 305HP 4.6L

We need to keep this debate going in talk or tech, not both lol. This is getting too hard bouncing back and forth. :rlaugh:

    '94-95 vs. '96-98

Thanks for keeping it civil, this is getting interesting :D . Allow me to explore your statement that the 5.0 has more potential bottom line PERIOD. Lets break the respective engines down........ Rods/Pistons: Both have cast rods and hyper pistons, ok for stock applications but not very good...

    '94-95 vs. '96-98

Not in some time, but I just googled it: http://www.yellowmustangregistry.com/ProductionCobra.html Pretty rare compared to the other model cobras (except for the 93). That just supports my previous argument. If you're just looking for a 5.0 to mod the hell out of, why gut a perfectly good...

    5.0L vs 305HP 4.6L

Ok cool lets talk apples to apples then. Mod for Mod. Whatever you can do on one car you can do to either of them. Stock for Stock: 96-98 > 94-95 Add the basic bolt ons to both (exhaust, gears, CAI, MAF, TB, pullies, chip, ignition, etc). 96-98 for the win again due to the base HP...

    5.0L vs 305HP 4.6L

Yes there are are some exceptions but lets face facts. The 94-95 comes stock with 245ish HP stock. The 4V comes with 305. Yes torque wins races but the 4V is still pulling long past where the 5.0 starts flattening out. Your buddy with the HCI car must be racing guys who can't drive or have Gts...

    5.0L vs 305HP 4.6L

96-98>94-95 Stock for stock- no question Mod for mod same story. You'll never have to crack a cam cover to make big power on the 4.6. Add gears, exhaust, and a blower and you will be nearly unbeatable. You'll need heads and a cam just to make the 94-95 run with a stock 96-98.

    '94-95 vs. '96-98

You said daily driver but you didn't say anything about modding the car. If you plan on keeping it stockish then I would say hands down a 4.6. It rips in factory trim and for under 1k you could add exhaust, gears, and a shifter and be happy for a long time:D . Down the road if you decide to get...

Metco Lower control arms w/ relocation bracket- 96 cobra

Weight transfer has more to do than with just your LCAs. Your spring rate, shocks/struts, launch rpm, traction, and weight distribution all play a part too.

Drain gas if car's been sitting?

I had to leave my car sitting once for a year and it fired right up. I wouldn't worry about it, but it wouldn't hurt to throw some octane boost in there and then go right to the gas station and top it off with fresh go juice. It also wouldn't hurt to change out the fuel filter once you've ran a...
