How critical are shocks and struts

No, I have no rubbing issues with my fronts or rears. My friend had a slight rub on his front wheel when making a U-turn & had the wheel completely to the left, but I have had no problems at all. Also, I don't think CC plates will be necessary. I installed my Pro-kit & Tokico's, went and...

How critical are shocks and struts

Yeah, deffinetly do them at the same time. We did them on my friend's 03 GT last weekend, and his shocks were completely blown after about 10k miles. We could compress the shocks in our hands with relative ease. Anyways, your choice of shocks is completely up to you. Price range was my...

Shift Grind: 1-2 (Cold), 3-4 (Cold), 4-5 (Anytime)

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about the reverse too much, as it seems to be common. I usually just put the car in 3rd, then shift to reverse, and this makes it much easier. Also, I was reading my owners manual, and it explained something about a "reverse lockout". This is where it will not allow you...

    WTF? Foglight Install...HELP!

Yep, huge PITA!! You have to get down and dirty if you want to keep your front bumper on during the install.

whats everyones thoughts on Sumitomo tires?

I currently have them on my Stang, and no complaints so far. The only reason that I got them is because I couldn't throw down the $300 more a tire for Goodyears, or BFG's. I plan on getting better tires sometime down the road, but the Sumitomos will have to do for now.

Rough Shifting Feeling with the 5 Speed

If you asked me, I'd say that your car needs 2 more cylinders...:rlaugh: Anyways, I tend to notice that my tranny is harder to shift when it's cold outside, but it's fine once it warms up (I'm sure that we have different trannies). You think that the weather could be playing any factor on yours...

    Opinions??? (springs)

Yeah you do Duke309, my friend's shocks were completely blown after 7k miles on them. We could compress the shock in our hands with ease. Get new shocks, you'll really like the difference!! Also, in response to the earlier post by 03GTinFLA, what would be the point of doing springs now, and...

    Steeda Springs=CC Plates??

Hey Everyone, I'm posting this for my friend, who has an 03 GT. He has the Steeda springs (about 1.5" drop??) and we recently installed KYB shocks this past weekend. Anyways, he went to finally go get his alignment done, and the shop told him that he would need Caster/Camber plates to avoid...

    School me on shocks/struts

Well, if you for sure don't want adjustable, then you have a few choices, which basically come down to price range. My friend got the cheap KYBs for around $200on ebay (for all 4). I think I paid about $250 for my Tokico HP's (all 4), but I believe that the Bilsteins will run you somewhere...

    Opinions??? (springs)

I agree with DropTopPony. We just installed KYBs on my friends Stang this weekend after he blew his stock shocks. He installed the Steeda springs about 10,000 miles ago, and the shocks gave out a while ago. It's not too much money for the shocks, and it will be so much easier to do it all at...

    quick tire/rim question

Yeah man, you should go with a 315, or a 305 at the smallest. I'm not sure if a 295 would be too small, but you might as well get bigger with the 10.5" wide rims!! If money is a problem, then I would suggest tirerack.com, they seem to have the best deal on tires. :nice:

    School me on shocks/struts

We just did the KYB's on my friend's 03 GT & I have the Tokico HP's on my Stang. I've never had the Bilsteins obviously, so I'm not sure how much "better" they are than the other 2 brands. However, I do know that I would not want to pay for the Bilsteins, since they are so expensive!! If you...

    Best oil and filter.

Well, oil is kind of a personal preference. Basically, you should decide whether you are going with a synthetic oil (probably better for higher performance, but lower milage vehicles) or a regular motor oil. Since my Stang is getting up there in miles and has never had synthetic oil before, I...

    Which midpipe for Stingers?

LOL, talk about thread revival!! I'm thinking about sticking w/ a catted H for my Stingers, I want to keep the near-stock note, just a little louder, and little meaner!!:nice:

    Pics of the Stang....(New Wheels!!)

Hey Everyone, so I installed my new wheels last weekend, and I'm proud to show them off!! Sorry for some of the blurry pics, apparently I suck at taking pictures. Old Bullit Wheels: New Mach 1 Replica Wheels: Close-up of Wheels, Rear: Close-up of Wheels, Front: [ Pic From...

    Best shocks/struts for lowered 2"+

Bilsteins are deffinetly the best, though they are pretty expensive. However, if you have the money and want the best-possible ride, then I would say Bilsteins. Though I agree that it sounds like the stang is too low, not really sure if Bilsteins would help that much??

    help picking rims

I've always been a big fan of silver & black. I would deffinetley get the black wheels, if you are going to do that theme. However, if you are set on chrome, my buddy has chrome cobra-r's on his silver stang, and they look good. I would decide which color to go with if I were you, then choose...
