Progress Thread Fire Hazard GT build: On the road

I ended up with the vastly more expensive unit in black. To be fancy, it comes with lines, fittings and oil filter sandwich. I'll let you know just how chitzy it is after our Chinese hot rodders send it to me. For the fan I went with a t-bird fan. It's supposed to be a cheap ($80ish) high...

Progress Thread Fire Hazard GT build: On the road

Two questions. 1. Is anyone running an oil cooler on their Fox. If so, what do you recommend? 2. I'm considering a new puller fan for the radiator. Anyone have an "inexpensive" suggestion? I say "inexpensive" because I have just found Mishimoto, is no longer the cheap brand I remember it...

I vote the bumpside. Even if Maacco has touched it. Not a terrible price for one, and if it's not totally restored you might actually use it for truck stuff. Simple to work on and maintain, and quite frankly one of the best body styles Ford made after the 50s.

Progress Thread Fire Hazard GT build: On the road

Wow, I could of swore I updated this thread????? So life, family, and other things have gotten in the way of getting the Fire Hazard up. I had Steve come by a month or so ago and hook up the Mega Squirt System. Good news, gauges work........well enough to show me that oil pressure drops...

LOJ has some very nice shifter pieces for using your trans behind an LS in the 3X0s. Might be worth a look or call.

Any need for one of those expensive shifter relocators? If I remember correctly the CD trannys have the factory location way to the rear.

    Fox GT40P Heads Exhaust Setup

It's been 10 years since I played with it, but had luck with BBK shortys and a short spark plug. I do not remember the plug number, but guarantee you can find it through researching this forum.

So did you get a chance to play with the new trans?

Fox Is my 255lph fuel pump causing my issue?

I agree completely with going through JR's checklist, but General Karthief has a point. I did not read about an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, and a factory should do fine, but you are working with unique circumstances. If you have my luck your mustang was rarely driven while you were...

I always enjoy knowing that there is someone else out there that creates their own stress and catastrophes. Being that your on the same team, I'm definitely rooting for cold air for your cruise............or a 10lb bag of ice in the lap if you don't get it to work :nice:

Mike, I'm going to try and be polite, but it's come to my attention that you've become a bit uppity. Your expectations of wastegates sealing, fluid fittings not leaking, and relays not melting has been painful, but accepted because we like you. However, your latest rant screams privilege beyond...

Well the Jeep is still not done, getting closer though. Wiring, some floor, reconnecting alt/AC/starter, welding some new replacement panels into the rear cargo area, and it will resemble being done. As far as the Fire Hazard, I've walked out into the garage and stared intensely at the car. If...

And as time went along..I changed how things looked to me.

I couldn't afford a decent American car, lived in the southwest, and built Hondas. I can easily beat your "failure" in vision, to include a four-door 91 civic with no interior, a twin cam motor, un-sprung ceramic clutch and solid engine mounts. Not pretty, not fast, and felt like it would rip...

Right on, I think I'm more excited about this than you are Mike. My prediction........New wastegate, new beast
