    First Cruise Night

I took my 67 coupe to a cruise event last night. This was the first time I ever brought a car to one of these and the feeling is great. My car wasn't the prettiest, but it sure was neat having people ask me qeustions about the car, and it was a really great bonding experience for me and my 14...

    Sad event

The two people in the GT were standing with towels held to their foreheads. I am guessing they had lap belts and their heads went forward. The person (or persons) in the rice-burner was (were) on a backboard with the emergency EMT's working on them. I couldn't get any closer, but the...

These cars are getting very hard to find.

You could go to Daytona around Thanksgiving, it's only three months away. They have a huge Mustang showing there, and a lot of the cars are for sale.

    Antique Plate, in CT.

I'm from West Suffield (on the Mass boarder), on Congamond Lake. The guy at the DMV was a 25 + year employee and said that if the car had been from out of state then all it would need is a vin varification. So there it is, from the Enfield DMV.:D

    Sad event

My wife and I were cruising around last night and at dusk we came up over a hill to find an accident scene. A beautiful GT.350 had T-boned a small rice-burner and the GT's nose was pushed in almost to the front wheels. :nonono: Just a reminder what can happen in the blink of an eye.

69 mach 1 question and intro

What about trying that black stuff you buy in a coil, thats used for the installation of windshields? Lay that across the track and push the window in place, raise the window and leave it there for 24 hours. That should hold it in place. And the last time I bought it, it was about $11.00 at NAPA

    Antique Plate, in CT.

O.K. guys, thanks for all that.:hail2: Yesterday I decided to take a half day, wait two and a half hours at the DMV and register the 67. I mentioned to the clerk that I was interrested in antique plates. I asked if I should mention this while I was getting the temp plates or wait until I...

    OFF TOPIC (GMC TRUCK BRAKES)

I had the same problem with a GM product (front left). I tried the WD40 thing as well, and it worked for a short time. I ended up replacing the caliper and never had the problem again.

    Antique Plate, in CT.

Any advice would be appreciated. I just got off the CT-DMV.org site and couldn't find any info on antique plates. I remember 15 years ago people telling me that if I got those plates I would have restrictions, such as only being able to drive the car to and from car shows, in state, during...

    Blinkers

Thanks. I got the car in pieces and the only thing not functioning now is the radio (not important for now) and the blinkers / flashers. I found the "can" with the two leads in on of the boxes of parts, and I just couldn't find where it goes.

    Blinkers

Is there a small "can" that controls the flashers / blinkers under the dash on a 67 Mustang? I can't find it. There is only 4 fuses and on my other cars there is a small cylindrical thing with 2 prongs that plugs into the edge of the fuse box. The blinkers and flashers don't work.

    Stang won't start

Success. Tos, you da man, er a woman, er a scary lookin thing with pig-tails.... (That is a ditterent looking avitar). I put new cables on it and the car cranked. I flooded it and ran the battery down, but I have no doubt that it'll run just fine. Thanx again tos, and guys.

    Stang won't start

Good idea. The ground is not the bolt on type, but who knows how old it is. Heck, I think I'll get a new cable that goes from the solenoir to the starter while I am at it. Thanks again.

    Charging issues

Maybe try a new alt and decrease the pully size on it, just a bit. Should charge at idle with a smaller pully, I would think.

    Is it my starter solenoid?

Hey 66, I had a similar problem (less the sparks). I would suggest you remove the battery and the battery tray. Check the wire harness where it passes under the tray. I think battery acid leaked, or something, on the cable and on my car the harness was all melted and fused. Don't sell...

    Stang won't start

I checked the voltage at the terminal on the solenoid about a week ago, 12V. I did not check it while my son was turning the key. But I tried your other suggestion and jumpered the "s" terminal to the POS side of the solenoid. It attempted to crank, I tried it a couple more times and it...
