Can I supercharge my car w/10.5:1 compression?

Guys, What's your oppinions? With the mods in my sig. can I safely run a supercharger with maybe 6 or 8 lbs of boost with 10.5:1 compression. Will I be risking an explosion of some sort. I've talked to a few different people, and got a few different responses. Though none of them were...

New to the 4.6 world. Could use some advice.

Thanks squeak93. I was also talking to a guy here at work who owns a 2003 GT who said the same thing. Nothing specific to the 4.6L. Thanks again.

New to the 4.6 world. Could use some advice.

Guys, I'm usually over on the 5.0 boards, but my father has been wanting a Mustang his whole life. Well he's going to look at a 2002 GT for $6500 this weekend, and asked me to come along to crawl underneath it for him. The car is an automatic with approx. 92,000 miles on it with a cold air...

Change C&L to PRO-M. Will I need new tune?

Thanks for the replies. I have an SCT chip, and the car was dyno tuned. I'm going to get the PRO-M, and give it a try. Shorthrow50 I'm hoping to be able to set my RPM's a little lower after I get it also. It idles pretty smooth. Just a little hight at about 950. I'll report back with my...

Change C&L to PRO-M. Will I need new tune?

Guys, I'm thinking of swapping out my C&L mass air meter for a Pro-M tuned for 24lb. I've got a custom tune on the car. Will I need to get it re-dyno'd, or should it be a direct swap. Also should I notice any difference with the Pro-M. I've heard maybe a little better idle, and a better...

    Car overheating

Are you using a fan shroud? They help a lot. Just a thought.

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

Took the car out today, and it started/ran great. The new fuel pump is working great, and has made all the difference in the world.

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

Well get this. My wife has been paying attention to whats been going on with the car, and here on Stangnet, and went ahead and her and my brother ordered the pump for me yesterday without me knowing it. Isn't she the best. The pump came today, and my son and I put it in with no problems...

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

Not that I'm thrilled to get under there and replace the pump again, I am however hopeful that this will solve the problem. I'm going to have aGSS-307 Walbro overnighted from JDsPerformance.com I've heard a few good things about them. Fingers crossed. Hissin I can't thank you enough for...

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

I found the wires, and I got just over 11 volts. I know it's not 12, but it's close. Do you think this now points at the pump? Thanks Hissin...

No they were one solid white and one solid black. I'm on the way back out to find the pink/black and black. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks man for the color code update.

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

Hissin I got a definite 12 volts at the relay this time. At the pump I used safety pins and probed the black and white wires going on top of the tank from just in front of the rear bumper. With the key on I only got 3.84 volts. Were they the right wires, and if so do I have a bad relay or...

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

I'm going to check for 12 volts again at the relay. In reading your post Hissin. I think I was taking the reading incorrectly last night. I disconnected the plug from the relay, but I'm thinking I should have left it connected to the relay, and probed it with a pin to take the reading. I'll...

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

So to be devils advocate lets say my meter is working correctly and I did see 12 volts at the green orange wire. Where should I go from there. On the other hand lets say my meter for some reason had the decimal point in the wrong place and did read 1.245 volts. Does that mean I have a bad...

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

I think I did test the correct wire and did get the 12volts we were looking for. I guess my meter was just freaking out a little bit. What do you think about the pump buidling pressure when the car is cold on the first turn of the key? Do you think it could be heat built up in the pump causing...

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

Hissin I checked the voltage at the relay, and at the grn/orange wire I got 1.245 or 12.45 volts ( my meter was acting up and it's a Fluke). At the red wire I got 12 volts with the key on. I think that was the 12 volts you were looking for. So I think the wiring is good. Before I did...

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

Thanks LX302 for the response. I don't have a spare pump to try. I want to exhaust all other options first before I go and order a new pump, because the pump does prime, or at least I hear it run every time I turn the key. I just can't get it to build pressure on the first turn of the key...

No problem I'll check the wiring today after work. Thanks Hissin. I'm just as confused as you are. Thanks for hanging in there with me. Hopefully this will help someone else later on.

Opinions on a good fuel pump.

Update: I must have been doing something wrong at the FP port on the SCT connector, because I tried it again, and this time the pump ran, and the pressure went up very quickly to 50 pounds. So now I'm stumped. I can cycle the key about ten times, or trick the pump at the sct connector both...
