Getting Ready To Install Two Full Length Floor Pans...any Tips?

Not much progress right now. His grades are sub par so that equals dad not working on the car. He helps, but school comes first. We'll see here soon. Right now it's too cold in the garage anyways.

Getting Ready To Install Two Full Length Floor Pans...any Tips?

The screws worked like a charm. Thanks. I know one thing, my MIG doesn't like weld through primer (zinc). Was a pain.

Getting Ready To Install Two Full Length Floor Pans...any Tips?

I got the passenger seat riser out today. What a pain. Drilled the spot welds, etc. Mocked the full passenger pan up and I don't like the fit/cut. Going to evaluate tomorrow some more and probably chop the pans into patches. That way I'm not fighting with huge welds and I can hide...

Getting Ready To Install Two Full Length Floor Pans...any Tips?

No Hack, you're fine. So if I do 1/4" stitch welds, how far apart should they be?

Getting Ready To Install Two Full Length Floor Pans...any Tips?

Not if I can help it. I have a couple of small spots to patch but overall they seem ok. One man show here too, so I get it.

Getting Ready To Install Two Full Length Floor Pans...any Tips?

Why full length welds on each side versus stitch welding? Sturdiness being its a unibody car? Thanks HS.

Getting Ready To Install Two Full Length Floor Pans...any Tips?

So the pans in my 65 Coupe are rotted in several spots. In looking at it, I decided to cut out each side and install full length pans. So, here is the plan: 1. Install floor jacks on sub frame, front & rear, on each side. 2. Remove seat riser pans 3. Lay new pans in and trace outline on...

    1965 Coupe. Heater Box Question.

Quick question guys. I've gutted the inside of my 65 and pulled the heater box. The box was damaged and needed a new core anyways. I think I may have ordered the wrong replacement heater box as I purchased one for a two speed motor. My old heater box has the red resistor...

    Howdy.

Not new to the site, but been out of the classic business for a looong time (65 Fastback I sold 12yrs ago like an idiot). After 96GT, an 86 Capri..I quit them for a while. I just picked up a 65 Coupe and figured I'd post up being I'll be lurking here now. Needs the typical cowl fix...

Need help troubleshooting my hatch release......

Resurrecting this one from the dead here, but finally got my hatch apart. Dumb question: Where the heck is the solenoid? **EDIT** Found it. It's amazing how things work correctly when they are plugged up. :D

Baskin makes good stuff. I love mine, and even have fun watching the LED indicator change colors. It lets me know how hard the fan is running. Yes, I'm easily amused....... :D

Question about gears and my setup???

Was reading another thread and it got me curious. Tried some searches, but didn't find much. I'm curious if going from my current 4.10 setup to 3.55's would actually improve my 1/4 - 1/8 mile times. Current mods: 306, long tubes, H-pipe, MAC Exhaust, Edelbrock upper and lower intake...
