    S197 Technical Service Bulletins

I wish I would've had this list like a week earlier from when you posted it. There is a lot of good information in it, including some hints as to what would've caused the "moaning and groaning" as for put it from my read axel. I fxed my Limited Slip Diff all up without having to replace the...

How much does the V6 Mustang weigh?

LOL that engine looks like burning. I wont be mucking around with nitrous on my poor v6. I had no plans for it in the first place and after your hindsight offering here developing any plans for it on an engine with stock internals has become unthinkable. Hypereutectic pistons should be used...

    11PSI Results w/4.0L Auto

Thats definantly a pretty conservative estimate as thats about what I have now with 3.73 gears, dual exhaust, x-cal, intake, springs, trac-lok, and anti-squat brakets. 190-200 sounds just about right. In a year I'll have enough for the blower so then I can give all you folks with those a run for...

    Newbie Trac-lok questions

Well I drained the old lube that was in there and it smelled horrible. Made me want to vomit. Then I put the plate back on the diff and added some Trans-x synthetic gear lube additive and some synthetic mobil 75-140W. Then I drove it out the bay I was working in and it still made the same noises...

Where does the tunes go? question

The xcal tuner seems to have cleared up some of the lag when I go full throttle at about 20mph. The whole car just seems more responsive. I have a CAI, and dual exhaust so my engine breathes a little bit better, but I could see how the tuner might be able to help a stock mustang out.

    Newbie Trac-lok questions

Definantly! I think I found a place in town here were I can buy some modifier and while I've got the car on jacks I might as well drain it and put some fresh gear lube in it too. Now all I need is some free time. If I'm lucky I'll be able to do it tomorrow. Thanks again everyone for being...

    Newbie Trac-lok questions

Thanks for your advice. I dunno if I'll be able to have it shipped in time, even if the shipping is fast, this option may leave me with very little time to work on the car and fix the problem...if its more serious than needing lubricant. I'm going to get some 75-140w soon though

    Newbie Trac-lok questions

I was thinking something along the same lines, which is why I'm going to try to add some friction modifier to the diff this weekend. The wierd thing is, at another forum I was told all the noise was normal so I came here and signed up for a second opinion. The only reason I use the term...

    Newbie Trac-lok questions

Hello all(my first post) I recently have had my mustang lowerd on springs(with anti squat brackets to boot) and had a trak-lok(posi-traction) limited slip differential installed on my 2005 v6. My tires are still stock. Is it typical for you to hear a rubbing or skidding sound when you take...
